Senior Business Transformation Manager – Programme Lead
The Business Transformation Team is at the heart of reshaping the Asset Management business to meet the demands of a dynamic and competitive landscape. Responsible for driving transformational change across the organisation, this team is focused on helping to enable scalable growth, operational excellence and market leading client experience. As a Senior Business Transformation Manager – Programme Lead, you will be hands-on in driving and delivering complex programmes to support Growth, Location Strategy & Internationalisation, Simplification, and Business Efficiency.
This role requires someone who is execution-focussed, able to roll up their sleeves, work directly with stakeholders and drive initiatives end to end. You will balance strategic thinking with practical delivery, ensuring high-impact transformation efforts are successfully implemented. With programme management expertise, problem solving skills and adaptability, you will work through ambiguity, complexity and shifting priorities to achieve meaningful outcomes for the business. This role is hands on, and will require you to get into the detail to help analyse, problem solve and provide solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly lead, manage, and deliver complex transformation initiatives, from conception through to execution.
- Work closely with senior leaders, functional teams, and external partners to ensure initiatives progress on time, to budget and deliver tangible benefits.
- Be the driving force behind strategic initiatives, maintaining focus on execution while managing risks and dependencies.
- Identify, structure, and implement growth, efficiency and simplification opportunities across the business.
- Drive initiatives to optimise global operating models, enhance cost-effectiveness, and remove unnecessary complexity.
- Develop and execute internationalisation and location strategy plans, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Establish and oversee programme governance, ensuring clear ownership, decision-making, accountability and timely escalations.
- Engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders, including Investments, Distribution, Product, Operations, HR, Compliance, Risk, Change & Technology, and other functions.
- Run Steering Committees and Working Groups, ensuring informed and timely decision-making.
- Work through complex and ambiguous challenges, breaking them down into structured, actionable solutions.
- Develop clear implementation roadmaps, balancing quick wins with longer-term strategic transformation.
- Address shifting priorities and evolving business needs with an agile and solution-oriented approach.
- Ensure initiatives are successfully embedded within the business, proactively addressing adoption challenges.
- Develop and implement change management strategies, ensuring business leaders and teams are equipped for transition.
- Create and present clear communication materials, status updates, and decision frameworks for senior stakeholders.
- Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, ensuring transformation initiatives deliver measurable impact.
- Use Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking methodologies to optimise workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance user experiences.
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable track record of leading and executing complex transformation programmes, ideally in asset management, banking or financial services.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, balancing execution with strategic alignment.
- A hands-on doer who thrives on solving problems and delivering tangible outcomes.
- Comfortable getting into the details, while maintaining a strategic lens on business impact.
- Strong relationship-building skills, able to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working across global teams and cross-functional working environments
- Strong understanding of programme governance, risk management, budget and benefits management and reporting disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale transformation initiatives under pressure and within tight timeframes and budget.
- Ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making and prioritisation.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma, process optimisation, and workflow automation.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, managing shifting priorities effectively.
- Comfortable with uncertainty and complexity, applying structured thinking to navigate challenges.
- Strong presentation skills, able to simplify complex topics and gain buy-in from senior leadership.
- Confidence in running Steering Committees and governance forums, ensuring well-informed decision-making.
