Senior Business Transformation Manager
The Business Transformation Team is at the heart of reshaping the Asset Management business to meet the demands of a dynamic and competitive landscape. Responsible for driving transformational change across the organisation, this team is focused on helping to enable scalable growth, operational excellence and market leading client experience. As a Senior Business Transformation Manager – Integration Lead, you will be at the forefront of post-merger integration (PMI) projects, working across functions to embed acquired businesses into our infrastructure, policies and systems efficiency and effectively. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across IT, HR, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Marketing, Operations, Investments & Distribution functions ensuring that both immediate integration priorities and long-term strategic alignment are addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead PMI Programmes for M&G Investments, ensuring acquired businesses are aligned with key policies, procedures, and systems.
- Develop and oversee structured integration plans, ensuring a phased approach that prioritises immediate deliverables while enabling long-term strategic alignment.
- Drive standardisation across the business by implementing best practices and ensuring consistent application of policies and governance.
- Establish Steering Committees, ensuring governance structures are in place to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Provide senior leadership with regular updates on integration progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Act as a central point of coordination, ensuring alignment across IT, HR, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Marketing, Investments, and Distribution.
- Support M&A activities where required, ensuring that post-merger integration challenges and considerations are assessed early.
- Work alongside M&A deal teams to evaluate potential synergies and risks, ensuring a smooth transition into post-acquisition integration.
- Design and implement a structured integration playbook, ensuring that each acquisition follows a consistent and repeatable framework.
- Capture lessons learned from each integration and refine methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the execution of multiple workstreams, managing dependencies and risk across the integration programme.
- Partner with business leaders and functional teams to ensure integration efforts align with overall corporate objectives and values.
- Proactively identify roadblocks and drive solutions to ensure seamless execution.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in leading or supporting post-merger integrations, demergers, carve-outs within asset management, private markets, or financial services.
- Familiarity with the complexities of integrating businesses across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
- Strong programme management skills, with experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Exhibit a proactive, highly motivated attitude and bring enthusiasm to drive initiatives forward.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and successful delivery.
- Proven ability to engage and align multiple functions, including IT, HR, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Marketing, Investments, and Distribution.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of how to align newly acquired businesses with existing corporate policies, governance, and operational procedures.
- Ability to define and execute a structured integration roadmap, ensuring both short-term alignment and long-term scalability.
- Experience establishing integration governance frameworks, ensuring structured decision-making at all levels.
- Ability to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure smooth execution.
- Ability to work through complexity and ambiguity, identifying structured solutions that drive long-term value, and strategic opportunities to improve operating models.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to balance high-level strategy with execution.
- Experience in developing standardised methodologies, frameworks, or playbooks to support repeatable, scalable integration processes.
- Understanding of financial, regulatory, and compliance implications associated with M&A and post-merger integration
- Strong ability to articulate complex integration strategies to senior leadership.
- Confident in delivering presentations, reports, and strategic recommendations.
