Job Title: Data Analyst - Alternative Investments

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, data lake architectures, and a strong understanding of the Alternative Investment industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights and enhancing operational efficiency through advanced analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis & Reporting
o Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, including data lakes and structured/unstructured repositories.
o Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Tableau, Power BI) to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Data Management
o Work with data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, quality, and availability within the data lake environment.
o Implement data governance and best practices for data storage and retrieval.
• Business Insights
o Partner with Fund Accounting and Operations teams to understand business requirements and deliver analytical solutions that support portfolio management, Investor data, Operational efficiency and performance reporting.
oIdentify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within alternative investment products (Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Estate, etc.).
• Automation & Optimization
o Streamline reporting processes through automation and advanced analytics techniques.
o Contribute to the design and enhancement of data models for Fund Accounting Operations analytics and Reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase).
o Strong SQL skills and experience with data lake technologies (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop).
o Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and visualization.
• Industry Experience:
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analytics within the Alternative Investment industry.
o Familiarity with investment products, fund structures, and performance metrics.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
