Job Description

Permanent contract – London (Hybrid: two days in the office or with clients/prospects as required)

We’re looking for a Senior Business Development Representative to play a key role in building our early stage pipeline. This is a strategic, senior-level prospecting position focused on quality over volume - identifying the right accounts, crafting tailored outreach, and starting meaningful conversations with senior decision-makers across various industries on digital transformation, CX, and platform strategy. You’ll be part of a small, agile team where your impact is visible and your career path can evolve into closing sales, client management or solution consulting as we scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, build and define strategic target account lists across key eCommerce, retail and digital first sectors
  • Plan and execute personalised, multi-touch outreach strategies across phone, email, LinkedIn, and industry events
  • Qualify and nurture early stage leads to create a steady flow of high-value opportunities for the sales team
  • Partner with marketing to align messaging and ABM initiatives
  • Maintain accurate data pipeline and report progress in CRM (Dynamics and Hubspot)
  • Follow up on event, webinar, and warm leads to drive engagement
  • Execute account-based outreach and light ABM campaigns to engage priority accounts
  • Represent SQLI at events and with partners as a credible, consultative brand ambassador
  • Monitor market and competitive trends to inform targeting and messaging

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 3+ years’ SDR/BDR or early-stage new business experience in digital commerce, digital consultancy, eCommerce, SaaS, or agency environments
  • Demonstrated success engaging senior stakeholders and opening complex conversations
  • Skilled with CRM and Sales Navigator; HubSpot and Dynamics experience preferred
  • Understanding of digital commerce, CX, or platform ecosystems (Adobe, Salesforce, Shopify a plus)
  • Outgoing, relationship-driven communicator who enjoys connecting with people
  • Experience with account-based outreach or ABM campaigns

How you work

  • Strategic prospector who focuses on quality outreach and relationship building
  • Confident communicator who can engage senior stakeholders and articulate value clearly
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and proactive in managing your pipeline and sales administration and reporting
  • Thrives in a small, fast-moving team
  • Commercially aware, resilient, and eager to progress into more senior commercial roles
