Senior Agriculture Development Manager – Region North

Location: UK or within the Europe North Region

Reports to: Senior Director Agriculture EMEA

As a Senior Agriculture Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and strengthening relationships within the agricultural industry across the North region, covering the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

About the Role

You will be part of our EMEA Agriculture Industry team, responsible for developing business opportunities and delivering exceptional value to customers. This is a strategic role focused on business development, sales growth, and fostering collaboration across a diverse and international environment.

This role can be based anywhere in the north of Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Business Results:

  • Develop and execute a regional business development plan.

  • Manage and optimise sales efforts to maximise profitability and achieve key KPIs.

  • Build and maintain a dynamic sales pipeline, including Business Development Plans (BDPs).

Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and create new sales and value-added service opportunities with existing and potential customers.

  • Grow sales across all product categories (specialties and commodities) and services (including blends).

  • Collaborate effectively within Brenntag’s matrix structure, influencing without direct authority.

  • Recommend new products for Brenntag’s Agro portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

Education: Degree in Agronomy or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Multiple years of sales experience in the agricultural industry.

  • Proven success in an international work environment.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Analytical and conceptual thinker with cultural sensitivity.

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.

  • Ability to collaborate and influence in a matrix organisation.

  • Languages: Excellent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
