We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Executive to drive growth across business. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening key client relationships, and leading high-quality bids and proposals that clearly differentiate us in a competitive market.
You will work closely with partners and senior leadership to proactively spot emerging trends and target sectors, using insight to shape focused business development and marketing activity. From supporting structured account planning to identifying cross-selling opportunities, you will help ensure we are building stronger, longer-term client relationships.
A core part of the role is owning and managing the bid process, overseeing tenders from initial qualification through to submission and presentation. You will manage Loopio to maintain a high-quality, organised content library, continuously improving the consistency, creativity and impact of our responses.
You will also play a key role in strengthening systems and processes, including embedding CRM usage, improving reporting visibility and moving away from spreadsheet-based tracking. Working closely with marketing and fee-earning teams, you will help develop presentations, templates, wider collateral and digital initiatives that generate meaningful conversations and support sustained growth.
What matters most in this roleCommercial awareness and strategic thinking are critical. You must be able to identify where growth opportunities exist within the industry and translate insight into targeted BD and marketing actions that support the firm’s growth plans.
Strong bid leadership and content management capability are essential. Owning the bid lifecycle, improving responses, thinking creatively, and building a robust content library in Loopio will directly impact our success rate and market positioning.
Equally important is collaboration and influence. You will work across teams, supporting partners with presentations, client development and cross-selling strategies, while embedding best practice processes that improve how we approach business development across the firm.
Day-to-day, you’ll⎼ Leading and managing the full bid and tender process, including post-submission reviews
⎼ Implementing and embedding CRM systems to replace spreadsheets and improve pipeline visibility and reporting
⎼ Supporting senior account management activity and structured client development planning
⎼ Identifying and coordinating attendance at key industry events, panels and networking opportunities
⎼ Developing and expanding BD collateral, templates, pitch materials and visual content (including videography where relevant)
⎼ Collaborating with marketing on digital campaigns and profile-raising initiatives aligned to growth sectors
What we expect of youYou will bring at least five years’ experience in a business development role, ideally within professional services, property, construction, legal or financial services. You understand how relationship-led businesses grow and how to position expertise effectively.
You are confident leading bids and proposals, with experience managing content libraries and systems such as Loopio. You are organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines without compromising quality.
You are commercially astute and proactive in spotting opportunities, trends and cross-selling potential. You don’t wait for opportunities to surface, you actively seek them out and help shape the firm’s response.
You are comfortable in senior environments, able to attend client meetings, support partners with presentations and contribute strategically to growth discussions. You can challenge constructively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
You have experience improving processes and systems, particularly CRM implementation and reporting structures. You understand the value of clear pipeline visibility and data driven decision making.
Finally, you are collaborative, creative and forward thinking. You look for ways to improve win rates, streamline processes, and strengthen the firm’s overall approach to business development always with a focus on delivering measurable growth.
