You’ll take a leading role in business analysis best practice, working across projects, business-as-usual change and new initiatives. It’s an opportunity to influence decisions, improve how change is delivered and support others to grow their business analysis capability.

At Skipton, we're founded on fairness. We exist to do right by our members - and we believe that starts with doing right by our people. So whoever you are and whatever you bring, there's a place for you here and a genuine plan for where you go next.

Our Change team connects business needs with the people and teams who deliver solutions. As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll work across the Society to understand change, assess its impact and help ensure requirements are clearly defined, communicated and delivered.

  • Understand business priorities and translate complex change needs into clear, validated requirements aligned to our objectives and strategic priorities.

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation across projects, business-as-usual improvements and new initiatives.

  • Support teams to write effective user stories, facilitate agile events and lead backlog refinement using business analysis best practice.

  • Work closely with Product Owners, project managers, business owners, development and testing teams to coordinate activity and support successful delivery.

  • Act as a trusted change adviser, applying process improvement, stakeholder engagement, business change and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Build collaborative relationships at all levels, communicating blockers, influencing decisions and helping stakeholders navigate complex or sensitive change.

  • Promote consistent standards, tools and techniques across the Business Analysis community, coaching others and contributing to a high-performance culture.

We work in a hybrid way, balancing flexibility with collaboration. For this role, you'll typically spend three days a week in our Skipton office, with the remaining two days working from home.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to explore different perspectives, solve problems and make confident decisions.

  • Proven experience of eliciting, analysing, validating and documenting complex business requirements across a range of business functions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence, engage and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

  • A sound knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and professional best practice, including user stories and agile ways of working.

  • Experience of independently interpreting and communicating complex or sensitive information with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and balance project and business-as-usual activity.

  • Around four to six years’ relevant experience delivering change, with knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation and change-related governance.
