Description

The Senior Business Affairs Manager is responsible for leading the UK based Campaign Services team, who handle all facets of creative campaign clearance and Business Affairs, including both Global and Regional brand and Agency clients. 

It is envisaged that the role will also be responsible for coordinating large global brand clients and their corresponding services, working closely with other regions and COEs to perform the work. 

Reporting into the SVP, Global Customer Solutions, the Senior Business Affairs Manager will be the primary lead responsible for global talent and rights clients, globally. 

This includes managing teams coordinating talent negotiations, contracts, renewals and completion reports in the XR platform. 

The role also includes managing a team who handle campaign management in the XR platform, maintenance of all aspects of customer accounts, including all follow-up work, fielding inquiries, and liaising with sales teams. 

The Senior Business Affairs Manager will work closely with the Operations Director (International) to ensure an efficient and optimal service model, across clients globally. 

 Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work with SVP Global Customer Solutions to develop strategy on strategic clients 
  • Work with regional teams and Operations Director (International) to define project requirements and to coordinate resource planning 
  • Supporting Operations and Sales Leadership with strategy and vision for the team 
  • Liaise with brand teams, creative agencies and media buying agencies for Campaign planning and coordination 
  • Liaise with Solutions Engineering to build out requirements for Talent and Rights implementations 
  • Manage a team overseeing multiple accounts on behalf of the customers; interact with clients, brand teams, creative agencies, post houses and media buying agencies 
  • Work closely with Global Clearance teams to ensure compliance of all materials and socialise training workshops to broaden subject matter expertise across the business 
  • Coordinate talent usage to talent managers to facilitate prompt and accurate payment 
  • Prioritise urgent tasks within multiple clients’ workflows 
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned 
  • Upskill and train junior members of the team on Business Affairs, across the business 
  • Assist Operations Management and Leadership on team training 
  • Work with Sales, Customer Success and growth teams to support revenue initiatives 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in either Broadcast/Agency/Production setting or similar 
  • High level of expertise leading client projects for contracts, music licensing, IP, usage, negotiations and production support 
  • Understanding around SAG AFTRA and non-union talent requirements 
  • The lead on managing finances with clients and reconciliations 
  • Experience mentoring junior members of the team to upskill 
  • ​Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience advising and providing consultation to clients and team members; ability to multi-task in a high volume work environment 
  • Strong understanding of Broadcast TV and Radio landscape 
  • A proven background in Business Affairs, in either Agency, Broadcaster or Production setting 
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel and/or Google equivalents

Preferred:

  • Experience managing a Business Affairs team either within an Agency/Broadcaster/Production environment
