Senior Brand Manager – Games Marketing

Role Overview: 

PlayStation is looking to hire a Senior Brand Manager to support our exclusive games developed by PlayStation Studios teams in Europe. 

  Reporting directly into the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, this role is responsible for developing the brand and global go-to-market marketing strategy for several high-profile games. The Senior Brand Manager will work with a team of marketers and partner with development studios.   


What you’ll be doing: 

Marketing and Brand Strategy 

  • Define global brand and product strategy, including positioning, unique selling points, and go-to-market approach based on strategic target audiences, market, and player insights. 

  • Drive global cross-functional teams, responsible for pulling together holistic global business results for their portfolio. 

  • Develop best-in-class go-to-market strategy. 

  • Accountable for the success of the global marketing campaign. 

  • Ensure consistent representation of brands global activations while overseeing tactical execution on global campaigns for multiple titles. 

  • Oversee asset creation in partnership with internal creative teams and external agencies to deliver key marketing and creative programs, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders. 


Studio Partnership 

  • Partner with development studios to develop product marketing strategy for game titles, including determining appropriate target audiences, business models (financial models and/or monetisation strategies), launch timing, and product/service feature sets. 

  • Ensure consumer insights are provided during the development of games through world-class qualitative and quantitative research. 

Budget Management 

  • Financial responsibility for marketing strategies, initiatives and advertising related efforts for franchises. 

  • Handle global marketing budget for portfolio of titles. 

What we’re looking for: 

  • Deep understanding of and experience working on games marketing campaigns. 

  • Demonstrated record of success in developing high impact global consumer strategies, mass appeal marketing campaigns, brand marketing, and direct to consumer performance-based marketing, for a portfolio of games/services. 

  • Must have broad experience and understanding of all facets of the marketing discipline including consumer insights, product positioning, consumer promotions, online innovation and creative development. 

  • Ability of influencing and engaging external and internal stakeholders in a franchise brand vision. 

  • Experience partnering with licensors and working on licensed IP games. 

  • Experience with digital product offerings ideally on multi-platform, mobile and/or PC platforms is a plus. 


Related Experience/education: 

  • At least 5 years of proven senior years of brand and product marketing. 

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in video games or entertainment is a plus. 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent (MBA a plus)
