Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. Sora Union changes that.

Sora Union is a globally distributed professional services company that specializes in Design, Software Engineering. Our experienced talent comes from communities where there is displacement or risk of displacement due to conflict or climate change. We provide services to global companies and start-ups across various industries, including healthcare, financial services, technology, and education.

We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer with strong conceptual thinking, strategic judgment, and a high level of creative autonomy.

We’re looking for someone who can challenge it, expand it, and turn it into a stronger solution than what was initially asked for.

The ideal profile combines strong craft with critical thinking. Someone who understands that great brand work is not only about aesthetics, but about building clear ideas, systems, and experiences that solve real business and communication problems.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Own brand design projects from brief to delivery, taking responsibility for the quality and impact of the final outcome.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear, compelling creative concepts that are aligned with the brand strategy and objectives.
  • Ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities that may not be explicitly stated in the brief.
  • Explore multiple creative directions and confidently recommend the solution you believe will have the strongest impact.
  • Develop and evolve brand identities, visual systems, campaigns, and creative assets across digital and other relevant touchpoints.
  • Partner closely with Brand, Product& Engineering, and other teams to ensure consistency and coherence across the brand experience.
  • Bring strong creative judgment, curiosity, and strategic thinking to every project, going beyond execution to make the work stronger than the original ask.
  • Present and communicate creative concepts clearly, explaining the thinking behind design decisions and incorporating feedback constructively.
  • Maintain high standards of craft, typography, composition, visual storytelling, and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to and help evolve brand guidelines, design systems, templates, and processes that enable consistent and scalable brand execution.
  • Balance creative ambition with business objectives, timelines, technical constraints, and practical delivery requirements.
  • Stay curious about emerging design trends, tools, and cultural developments, bringing relevant inspiration and new thinking into the work.
  • Support and inspire other designers through collaboration, feedback, and sharing best practices.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Strong experience creating and evolving brand identities and scalable brand systems
  • Excellent conceptual thinking and the ability to develop ideas beyond visual execution
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to understand the business context behind a brief
  • High creative autonomy and the confidence to propose better approaches when appropriate
  • Strong art direction, typography, composition, visual storytelling, and overall design craft
  • Ability to take ownership of a project from an ambiguous or incomplete brief through to a polished solution
  • Critical thinking and a strong point of view, while remaining collaborative and open to feedback
  • Experience using AI as part of the creative process to explore, iterate, prototype, and elevate the quality of the final work, rather than simply accelerate production
  • Ability to present and explain creative decisions clearly to internal teams and customers
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency across complex brand systems
  • Strong presentation and workshop skills
  • B2 level English language proficiency or higher

Nice to have:

  • Experience with UX/UI and corporate website design is highly valued, particularly translating brand systems into clear, polished digital experiences.
  • This is primarily focused on marketing and corporate websites rather than complex digital products or product UX.
  • We’re looking for someone senior in both craft and thinking: a designer who can make excellent work, but also understands why it should exist in the first place.
  • Sora Union is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds and all walks of life to apply. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to all applicants throughout the application process.
