Role Summary and Purpose

The Senior Bordereaux Analyst will work alongside an existing team in Manila and the Bordereaux Process Manager based in London and is responsible for:

  • Supporting the tracking/processing and improvement in quality of all bordereaux information
  • Ensuring that terms and conditions within the binding authority agreements are maintained and that data is handled and processed in a consistent manner providing accurate and timely management information.
  • Assisting with the development of all DUA systems and various ongoing projects.
  • Providing support to the Bordereaux Manager where required
  • To ensure consistent checks and controls in accordance with the risk management and SOX frameworks

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

1.Day to day responsibilities

  • Assisting the management and processing of incoming bordereaux and SOV information.
  • Managing the bordereaux collection process and escalating issues to underwriters where necessary.
  • Problem solving and liaising with Coverholders and Brokers when issues arise along with the Bordereaux Process Manager.
  • Ensuring effective communication is maintained with all underwriting teams.
  • Identifying key areas of data improvement in line with Lloyd’s standards and being aware of changes to Lloyd’s reporting standards and requirements.
  • Management and production of bordereaux MI and other Binder/Bordereaux reporting required by internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all process and training documentation is kept up to date.
  • Provide ongoing training and assistance to the team.

2. Market changes:

  • Stay aware of market standards, changes to bordereaux data and processing requirements.
  • Working with the Bordereaux manager to ensure a sensible direction for market agreed Coverholders/bordereaux changes and standards for internal and external reporting.

3. Data quality standards:

  • Drive improvements to bordereaux data quality through training and working directly with brokers and Coverholders.

Role Requirements and Skills

Skills / Competencies

  • Demonstrate a high level of problem solving and the ability to resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritising tasks appropriately and ensuring that SLAs are achieved.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people face to face and over the telephone.
  • Good written communication skills to allow the job older to write and respond to emails and other written correspondence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Lloyd’s Minimum Standards for Coverholder business

Qualifications

  • Ideally degree educated

Experience

  • Relevant experience working in a bordereaux management function in an insurance company, ideally strong Lloyd’s market experience.
  • Good understanding of London market systems and procedures
  • Experienced in working with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
