Operations and Client Services

Our team supports and enables other domains in the Corporate Bank like liquidity management, payments, trade finance and lending to operate more efficiently and provide value to our clients more quickly. For this purpose, we are building a digital and automated Client Onboarding platform to grow revenue and reduce friction (costs/manual processes). The aim is to create a single product agnostic global Client Onboarding platform with self-service capability for the clients to request new deals and get setup quickly in order to transact.

As a Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x), you will help us shaping the design and implementation of our platform and the applications that run on top of it. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with experience working in teams and interfacing with stakeholders to solve the complex operational challenges that Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank faces today.

Your key responsibilities

  • Implement end-to-end client service automations for corporate clients within Deutsche Bank
  • Design, develop and document microservice-based & cloud-native application components in accordance with requirements specification
  • Write clear, maintainable and reusable code and take part in code reviews to ensure that features are developed at high quality standards
  • Participate in technical discussions and architecture decisions within the team
  • Work in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy

Your skills and experiences

  • Proficiency in JVM-based backend development and distributed systems
  • At least 5 years of overall technology experience
  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms, event-based architectures or frontend engineering a plus
  • Experience working within Agile teams, applying iterative development and rapid feedback to continuously improve solutions
