CME is NAB’s centre of excellence for transaction execution and portfolio management within Corporate FinanceCME partners with Client Coverage and Product Specialist teams with the aim of driving business growth and efficiently delivering an excellent experience for customers.  

The position is located in London and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their credit risk, financial analysis and client relationship management skills in conjunction with our Specialised Finance and Client Coverage teams and will play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.  

Essential Capabilities:

·         Sound numerical and financial analysis skills

·         Competency in financial modelling

·         Understanding of debt and financial markets products

 

Other Capabilities:

·         Excel skills (medium to advanced)

·         Customer focused

·         Ability to manage time effectively, working with competing priorities

 

Experience:

·         3 years+ experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking environment in an analytical or similar role

·         Demonstrated credit analysis skills, prior experience in financial modelling and understanding of transaction structuring

·         Prior experience of Project Finance structures and understanding of the Energy and Infrastructure sectors preferable

·         Understanding of regulatory and compliance environment.

Key Decisions:

·       Ability to balance time between big-picture and day to day activities

·       Knows when to act independently and when to escalate issues

Takes industry and market trends into account when making decisions

Key Accountabilities:

·       Responsible for managing ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of a client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is kept to a good standard including completing annual reviews, rating analysis and monitoring of financial information

·       Assist in structuring transactions including preparing credit memos, financial modelling and making recommendations to senior stakeholders

·       Stakeholder management

Key Stakeholder Groups:

·       Coverage and product specialists

·       Credit Risk including Group Risk

·       External customers

·       Legal

·       NAB Europe management

Key Performance Indicators:

·       Effective portfolio management and hygiene

·       Valued contribution to transaction execution and meticulous credit submissions

·       Contribution to key strategic initiatives

·       Strong time management and organizational skills, consistently meeting deadlines with a high quality work output
