Senior Associate, Securities Finance Operations

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of a Senior Associate to join our Securities Finance Operations team, focusing primarily on Securities Lending. This role is located in Manchester, United Kingdom
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Responsible for processing, monitoring, researching and analyzing transactions and resolving complex inquiries.
- Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and external clients to research and resolve inquiries and transactions.
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Responsible for lending loan cycle - receiving collateral, settlements, maintaining daily collateral levels, closing loans.
- Responsible for assisting with reconciliation breaks, client income and corporate events, daily workflow, task validation and ad hoc reporting.
- Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of trade static data, trade enrichment, and trade exception handling and market claims.
- Serve as subject matter expert for the day-to-day operations.
- Ensure work produced meets or exceeds quality standards and ensure procedures are properly documented
- Act as the team supervisor and as first line of escalation where required.
- Manage the daily transactional workflow within the team and align team resources accordingly to complete daily tasks.
- Guide, motivate, and develop less experienced staff members to maximize individual contributions, professional growth, and effective teamwork. Role model what good looks like.
- Drive workflow improvement and operational efficiencies to reduce manual touchpoints. Look to deploy AI, Digital Tools and automation initiatives consistently.
- Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelors degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant relevant work experience in financial services
- Securities lending product knowledge preferred.
- Strong operational risk mindset—control design, reconciliations, exception management, error investigations, procedural documentation, audit readiness.
- Regulatory and policy awareness preferred.
- Comfortable with data, analytics, MI, KPIs.
- Excellent communication and experience building strong relationships with demanding stakeholders.
- Evidence of process improvements. Automation experience preferred.
- Management or supervisory experience is preferred
