Job Description
Responsibilities:
Reinsurance models: Analyse and run reinsurance models to generate fees for flow treaties, including formatting data and benefits into the required reinsurer formats
Reinsurance information: Coordinate and send the necessary data, models, and aggregate pricing information and pipeline information to reinsurers.
Reinsurance tenders: Running tenders for large new business deals (>500m), liaising with reinsurers on new business opportunities and structuring contracts for new deals
Reinsurance relationships: Maintaining reinsurer relationship with BAC UK’s flow partners alongside other reinsurers on BAC UK’s approved counterparty panel.
Checking risk limits and compliance with matching adjustment requirements: Monitor and check risk limits and matching adjustment eligibility for reinsurance treaties.
Operational onboarding of reinsurance: Including setting up collateral structures and monitoring of ongoing operational requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
Qualified actuary with 3-8 years of experience.
At least 1 year of experience of reinsurance longevity swap pricing.
Longevity reinsurance sector experience, ideally through an insurer or reinsurer but will consider through a consultancy route
Knowledge of UK pensions/bulk annuities.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize deliverables, and work well under pressure and deadlines.
Possesses high professional standards and exemplifies exceptional integrity and credibility with strong relationship management skills.
Works well in a team-based environment.
