The Role

Supporting the Head of Structuring and Implementation, and the wider Lloyd’s Treasury and Investment Management unit to deliver key strategies with regards to third-party externally managed investments.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop relationships with strategic partners overtime to develop higher risk-adjusted returns through disintermediated origination.

  • Work with cross-functional teams across tax, legal, finance, risk and beyond to ensure any custom investment vehicle is structured appropriately.

  • Identification of suitable public asset class fund strategies and appropriate 3rd party managers.

  • Manage external stakeholders, lead due diligence and onboard any Central Fund investment into a new third party fund

  • Design, with ALM, any public proxy portfolios for private assets.

  • Work with Investment Operations to ensure any investment is properly incorporated into Lloyd’s Asset Infrastructure.

  • Development of strategic investment policy, researching and analysing new investment opportunities and making recommendations on investments to senior management.

  • Integrating investment strategy with risk management considerations.

  • Provide presentations to stakeholders including the Asset Allocation Committee and provide written

  • commentaries for inclusion in stakeholder reporting

  • Proactively monitor developments across investment markets and provide written/verbal updates to senior management on any relevant developments making recommendations for action as appropriate.

Skills

  • Clear articulate communicator – exhibiting diplomacy, sound judgement and discretion at all times

  • Exceptional influencing skills with ability to find compromise when required

  • Strong commercial negotiation skills

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and highly proactive

  • Excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent commercial acumen

  • Ability to create and review quantitative research and financial models, including cashflow statements.
