Job Description
Ready to turn messy, high-velocity, high-volume data into a clean, business ready foundation that powers decisions for one of the world's most iconic brands?
As an Analytics Engineer at The LEGO Group, you will be responsible for building the data backbone of the A&I organisation. Crafting a dynamic AI enabled data foundation the entire company can rely on, empowering the business every minute of every day.
We're pleased to share that we offer a hybrid working week arrangement called Best of Both, requiring 3 days in the office location and 2 days from home.
No relocation or visa assistance is offered for this position.
The closing date for all applications will be Monday 13th April 2026.
Core Responsibilities
Build & maintain data pipelines. Design, engineer and monitor high-quality data pipelines on Databricks taking complex, high-volume, messy data and making it clean, reliable and business-ready.
Develop and optimise the semantic layer. Build and maintain metric view pipelines, materialisation and performance optimisation so data is fast, efficient and accessible for analysts, data scientists and commercial teams.
Ensure data quality & engineering best practice. Implement CI/CD pipelines, assertion checks, data quality frameworks and cost/performance optimisation, testing thoroughly before any rollout hits production.
Drive platform governance & data accessibility. Own Unity Catalog governance, schemas, access controls, metadata tagging, ensuring data is discoverable and compliant in a highly controlled environment.
Enable AI-ready data products. Build the data foundation that AI models and tools (including agents and genies) can rely on collaborating with data scientists, analysts and digital product teams to make data available, structured and fit for downstream AI use.
Do you have what it takes
Advanced SQL a must-have. You're comfortable working with large, complex, structured and unstructured datasets and can write high-performance queries without breaking a sweat.
Data pipeline & transformation expertise. Hands-on experience with a leading data modelling or transformation tool (Databricks is the platform here) and a solid understanding of how to build, test and maintain robust data pipelines at scale.
CI/CD & engineering best practice. Confident working with Git and CI/CD workflows, you test in development before you ship, and you care about doing things properly the first time.
Ability to navigate complexity and influence without authority. You can walk into an ambiguous situation, figure out what needs to be done, and bring digital product teams, analysts and stakeholders along with you, translating technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences including senior leadership.
AI & platform curiosity. You don't need to be a data scientist or software engineer, but you understand how to build data products that AI models and tools can consume, and you're genuinely curious about how AI can complement and accelerate your work.
Fluency in English both written and verbal.
