In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing.

Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year.
But we’re just getting started.

Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves.

The role:

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you’ll work on high-impact business initiatives, using your expertise in technology and commercial problem-solving to scale processes and drive more intelligent decisions. You’ll also lead our internal data initiatives, creating and maintaining a gold-standard data asset that the whole business can rely on. That means building automated pipelines, ensuring high data quality, and introducing more innovative approaches to modelling, observability, and governance. By putting in place scalable, resilient systems, you’ll enable teams across Dojo to access fast, trusted insights and make confident decisions as the company continues to grow.
The team

At Dojo, Payments data is at the heart of our decision-making process and influences how we understand and shape the world. Therefore, our mission is simple: to improve the quality, usability & value of all Payments data across the company.

We achieve this by:

  • Building scalable and efficient single-source-of-truth data assets that enable engineers, analysts and data scientists across the company to construct both internal and external-facing products.
  • Directly building critical data-driven systems that power our operational squads, enabling them to make accurate decisions.
  • Enabling the company to self-serve insights.
  • Partnering with and advising Payments Engineering teams to mature their platforms and products, providing the most accurate and usable data possible.

What you will do…

  • Shape the direction of the data organisation by adopting best-in-class data sources, services, and tools.
  • Identify opportunities across the organisation to improve decision-making and deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business areas, acting as a trusted advisor to improve performance through data and technology.
  • Support and shape KPIs to ensure accurate, actionable data and reporting.
  • Deliver hands-on data products using tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Looker.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Engineering, Product, Treasury and Finance.
  • Contribute to the Analytics Engineering Chapter through demos, knowledge sharing, and skill development.

What you will bring…

  • Expert in SQL, with experience handling and manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Proven experience building robust analytics pipelines and designing effective data models.
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, balancing technical considerations with business impact.
  • High attention to detail and strong quality standards in work.
  • Able to thrive in an agile, fast-growth environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with our tech stack: dbt, BigQuery, Looker, GCP, Fivetran & Airflow.
  • Experience mentoring others.
  • Experience with Python.

Dojo home and away

We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.

That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.

With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.

Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?

If you’re keen to know the answer, you’re a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values.

If the following speak to you, let’s talk:

  • You’re curious. You have a real desire to learn and create.
  • You’re relentless. You keep going even when it’s easier not to.
  • You’re customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do.
