Let’s fix hospitality, for good.

Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. But it doesn’t have to be this hard. That’s why we built Nory.

Our CEO, Conor, knows the pain first-hand. After founding and scaling Mad Egg in Ireland, he got fed up with juggling “market-leading” systems, clunky spreadsheets, and endless printouts. So he set out to build the tool he wished he’d had from day one.

Nory is an all-knowing restaurant management system. It blends real-time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins. From food prep to forecasting, it’s operational intelligence that helps restaurants run with consistency, certainty, and profit. The result? Thriving restaurants, better jobs, less waste, healthier margins.

And we’re just getting started. Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik, we’ve grown to 80+ people across Ireland, the UK, and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined.

The Role

This role is best thought of as the founding analytics leader at Nory. We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer who will own what the company measures and how those metrics are used to run the business. You’ll be our first dedicated analytics hire – setting standards, defining KPIs, and partnering directly with the exec team on decisions that impact revenue, operations, and growth.

This is not a traditional analyst role, and not a pure data engineering role. It’s a role for someone who has already built trusted analytics foundations and is ready to take full ownership – deciding what matters, building the right data products, and challenging stakeholders when the data points in an uncomfortable direction. The tooling is in place (Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Airbyte). The challenge now is judgment, prioritisation, and leadership in ambiguity.

What you’ll be doing:

This role is not a pure analyst role, and not a traditional data engineering role. We’re looking for someone who has already owned analytics end-to-end in a fast-moving environment – building trusted data models and turning them into insights that shape leadership decisions.

  • Build company-wide KPI dashboards: In your first few months, you’ll work with the exec team to build and roll out dashboards that replace manual spreadsheets and CSV exports.

  • Drive insight and decision-making at leadership level: Partner with the exec team to define what matters, surface the right metrics, and translate data into clear recommendations and trade-offs that inform planning and execution.

  • Deliver internal data products: Collaborate with Ops, GTM, Marketing, Finance, Product, and CS to create curated data marts, prebuilt dashboards, and interactive reports.

  • Design and own our analytics foundations: Define and build production-grade dbt models, marts, and metrics that become the single source of truth for the company. You’ll set standards for modelling, testing, and documentation as we scale.

  • Enable the rest of the business: Support teams in learning and using our BI tools effectively. From onboarding new joiners to levelling up power users, you’ll help others become more data-driven.

What success looks like in the first year:
  • Leadership trusts a single set of numbers and no longer relies on spreadsheets

  • Teams self-serve from well-defined dashboards and marts

  • You’re a go-to partner for execs when decisions need data

  • Analytics foundations are strong enough to hire and onboard junior analysts underneath you

What you’ll bring:

If you’re excited by dashboards and by sitting next to senior leaders, helping them understand what’s really happening in the business, this role will be a strong fit.

  • Senior-level analytics experience: You have over 5 years of experience working in modern analytics teams at tech startups. You’ve built the dashboards and the processes — and know what good looks like.

  • Proven end-to-end ownership: You’ve been a key driver (or the first analytics hire) in building analytics foundations – from dispersed source data to trusted dashboards used by leadership.

  • Strong SQL and dbt skills: You write clean, modular code, build thoughtful data models, and maintain clear lineage. You understand performance and maintainability.

  • Data warehousing know-how: You have a solid theoretical knowledge of data warehousing, including the ability to debug non-performant queries and design fit-for-purpose schemas.

  • Tooling fundamentals: You’ve worked with cloud data platforms and BI tools. We use Omni, Snowflake, and Airbyte - but we believe good fundamentals matter more than specific tools.

  • Business-first mindset: You’ve delivered insights that changed priorities, influenced senior stakeholders, or shaped roadmap decisions – not just dashboards that reported what already happened.

  • Startup readiness: You’re looking for ownership. You’re motivated by autonomy, ambiguity, and the chance to shape something from the ground up.

If you’re excited by what we’re building, we’d love to hear from you—even if you don’t tick every box.

What you’ll get in return:

💰 Competitive salary range depending on experience

How we work

Our vision is to build a better future for the restaurant industry.

One where operators are in control, margins are stronger, and frontline teams can build careers they’re proud of. To get there, we move fast, stay focused, and hold ourselves to a high bar. Our values guide how we work, grow, and win – together.

These are the values we live by:

We serve up impact with a side of profit: We prioritise work that delivers real financial results for our restaurant partners.

We prioritise speed of service: We move fast, unblock quickly, and deliver with urgency.

We act like owners: We own problems, raise the bar, and build better every day.
