ROLE SUMMARY

OMG Advanced Analytics play a vital role in ensuring that our clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth.

The Senior Analyst role will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, focused on addressing business questions and wants to influence media and business decision making.

The successful candidate would have a proven record of combining a creative approach to analytic problem solving with delivering client-friendly solutions in an articulate and insightful style. They will be at a stage in their career where they want to lead projects in their own rights and be making their first steps into managing more junior team members.

Senior Analysts are the engine room of our team, helping our Consultants distil client questions into model form and using those to create implementational outputs that improve clients' business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help manage client relationships and client engagement, ranging from project delivery through to consultancy
  • Contribute to delivering existing scopes of work, future scoping and delivery of insightful and profitable projects
  • Work with the team to address business questions that will influence media and business decision making
  • Distil client questions into data form and using those to create implementational outputs that improve clients' business
  • Support the development of new solutions and analytical approaches
  • Being to take lead on projects with support from more senior team members
  • Collaborate with working closely with other specialist services, agency teams and the wider analytics teams
  • Take on some day-to-day mentoring and training of more junior members of the wider team including supporting with workloads and outputs
  • Stay up to date on emerging analytics platforms, best practices and industry trends

Experience: 

  • A degree in economics, econometrics, statistics or similar quantitative discipline - or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with or desire to learn about Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM)
  • Extensive familiarity with time series regression modelling techniques, including model assumptions and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. R or Python, R preferred) and MS Excel.
  • Ability to translate technical outputs into commercially-actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences

Desirable:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience with A/B testing and causal inference methodologies
  • Experience working in a media agency

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
