Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace. We share the collective intelligence and risk sharing expertise of the market’s brightest minds, working together for a braver world.

Our role is to inspire courage, so tomorrow’s progress isn’t limited by today’s risks.

Our shared values: we are brave; we are stronger together; we do the right thing; guide what we do and how we act. If you share our values and our passion to build a future that’s more sustainable, resilient and inclusive, you’ll find a home at Lloyd’s – build a braver future with us.

Are you an analytical problem-solver looking to make a positive impact?  We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Lloyd’s Aggregation team and be part of a team that develops the analytical tools that drive the market’s understanding and control of catastrophe risks and use of outwards reinsurance.

You will be comfortable acting independently as a senior technical expert, managing workload for analysts within the team who are focused on collating and analysing exposure, reinsurance, and catastrophe data from syndicates to deliver insight at the point of decision making.  You will need to be a solution driven individual, with advanced problem solving skills, an interest in catastrophe risk and exposure management and the curiosity to learn more about how statistical data drives business strategies. We are looking for someone who wants to take the next step in their career by developing the skills needed to lead others to add value in a complex environment.

A degree in a numerate or natural science subject or demonstrable significant experience of solving complex statistical problems, analysis and coding is required.  Whilst open minded to any quantitative background or data science aspirations within (re)insurance; catastrophe modelling, risk analytics or capital modelling knowledge would be hugely advantageous.  Strong SQL is essential and any prior experience in the following would be beneficial and/or developed in the role; R, Python, Excel / VBA, Tyche/Igloo, Tableau, R Shiny, or PowerBI.
