A growing part of our work focuses on operational AI. We design, integrate, and run AI systems inside our clients’ cloud or on-prem environments, ensuring they are secure, governed, and usable in everyday business processes. This includes deploying and operating PIPE44, our AI integration and governance platform, together with AI-enabled engineering teams.

Who We Are Looking For?
We are looking for a Senior AI Operations Engineer to operate and continuously improve AI systems built on the PIPE44 platform in client environments. This is not a research role and not an AI architect position. Your focus is on running AI systems in production: stability, quality, governance, and controlled evolution after go-live. You will work closely with SPACE44 architects, engineers, and client teams to ensure AI agents, integrations, and knowledge sources behave reliably and safely in daily operations.
What You’ll Do:
Operate and maintain AI systems based on PIPE44 in client environments
Configure, deploy, and manage AI agents and multi-agent workflows
Control agent permissions, tool access, and knowledge boundaries
Monitor AI behavior, execution outcomes, usage patterns, and costs
Maintain governed knowledge sources and monitor retrieval quality (RAG)
Handle quality incidents such as incorrect grounding or unexpected outputs
Operate and support integrations with client systems (ERP, CRM, internal platforms, APIs)
Maintain logs, audit trails, and operational reporting for enterprise governance
Support the rollout of new agents and controlled scaling of existing systems
Act as the operational owner of AI systems after go-live
What This Role Is Not
No AI research
No model training or fine-tuning
No project sales or scoping
No 24/7 on-call rotation
No solo architecture ownership
This is a hands-on operational role, focused on keeping AI systems working in production.
Requirements:
5+ years operating complex production systems (platform ops, SRE, production engineering, DevOps, or similar)
Experience supporting enterprise or client-facing systems
Comfortable owning systems after launch
Strong experience with API-based system integrations
Familiarity with AI agents, workflow automation, or orchestration platforms
Practical experience with LLM-based systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
Understanding of RAG concepts at an operational and quality-control level
Solid grasp of access control, permissions, and system governance
Experience working with monitoring, logging, and operational metrics
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to Have:
Experience with AI platforms or agent frameworks
Background in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments
Experience operating long-running client systems rather than short projects
