Company Description

We Elevate. Digitally.

SQLI is a European leader in digital transformation and customer experience, helping major international brands drive growth through technology. From strategy to implementation, we design and deliver high-performance architectures and engaging digital experiences by combining advanced technologies, proven methodologies, and deep technical expertise.

With 2,200 people across 12 countries, we’re looking for passionate individuals who share our values: Creative Spirit, Commitment, and Forward Thinking.

Job Description

The Senior AI Consultant supports clients in modernising their organisations through AI by conducting in-depth analyses of complex needs and proposing strategic solutions grounded in benchmarks, evidence, and operational reality. Drawing on AI expertise and consulting experience, you enrich recommendations, challenge stakeholders to think harder about the problems worth solving, and guide teams through the change that AI adoption demands. You formalise high-quality deliverables, evaluate the medium- and long-term impact of what you recommend, and ensure clients are satisfied with both the journey and the outcome.

This role is client-facing. In most AI engagements you will be the senior SQLI voice in the room, supported by architects and engineers from across the Data & AI service line and the wider SQLI group. You will work closely with the Service Line Manager on offer development and with solution architects on solution design.

You will also help shape the practice itself. New accelerators, points of view, and reusable IP come out of the work you do with clients. We want someone who treats that as part of the job, not a side project.

What you will do

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client needs and context, identify where AI delivers real value, and challenge stakeholders to develop solutions that address the actual problem rather than the surface symptom

  • Design, formalise, and propose AI solutions based on benchmarks, evidence, and feedback, with a credible path from business objective to measurable outcome

  • Advise clients on strategic and operational decision-making, assessing the medium- and long-term impact of AI adoption on their organisation, operating model, and commercials

  • Lead AI workshops, presentations, and pitches with senior client stakeholders, including non-technical audiences

  • Support change management around AI adoption, lead working groups, ensure skills transfer to client teams, and promote buy-in across the organisations we work with

  • Shape commercial proposals together with the Service Line Manager, contributing the technical and solution narrative across the full sales-to-delivery cycle

  • Work with solution architects and engineering teams to validate technical feasibility and shape solution architectures at a level you can defend in client conversations

  • Help shape new AI offers, accelerators, and reusable assets for the practice, and contribute to the internal promotion of SQLI’s AI capability

  • Ensure quality of deliverables, meet deadlines, and maintain a close advisory relationship with clients beyond individual engagements

Qualifications

Must have

  • Demonstrated experience advising enterprise clients on AI, with a portfolio of engagements you can speak to in depth

  • Strong client focus, with the ability to understand business objectives, KPIs, and operational context, and plan strategies that connect AI capabilities to measurable outcomes

  • Solid understanding of the full sales-to-delivery cycle in a consulting or agency setting

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and adapt the message to the room

  • AI-first working style. You use AI tools (Claude in particular, also ChatGPT and others) daily to brainstorm, research, generate, and accelerate your own work, while staying in control and challenging the output when it is wrong

  • Practical understanding of Claude Code, Cowork, plugins and skills, MCP connectors, and what an AI agent actually is and is not

  • Technical background sufficient to discuss enterprise architecture, integrations, and data flows at a senior level, even if you are not the deepest technical voice in the room

  • Working understanding of how AI delivers value in the enterprise and where it fails, across delivery acceleration, customer-facing applications, and agentic workflows

  • Native-level English fluency, both spoken and written

  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom

Nice to have

  • Background from an e-commerce agency, or from an AI, agentic, or workflow automation consultancy

  • Track record of identifying and optimising business operations and workflows using AI

  • Strong presentation craft, including the ability to create engaging slides, diagrams, and visual narratives

  • Experience contributing to or co-authoring commercial proposals, particularly outside the standard day-rate model (packaged, subscription, outcome-based)

  • Experience shaping practice IP: accelerators, points of view, methodologies, reusable assets

  • Working French

Additional Information

How we will work together

You will report into the Data & AI service line leadership. You will work alongside architects and engineers across the Data & AI service line and the wider SQLI group, and contribute to the International AI community. There is real scope to shape the role over the next twelve months, including progression to Principal level as the practice scales.

How to apply

Send a short note covering:

  1. One or two AI engagements you have shaped, what the business problem was, and how you measured success

  1. A view on where you think enterprise AI delivers real value today and where the hype exceeds the reality

  1. Your notice period and earliest start date

Why you’ll love working at SQLI?

  • A flexible remote working policy: 3 days per week
  • Continuous learning opportunities and certifications to support your development
  • Personalised support: career follow-up, diverse projects, and strong team collaboration
  • Regular rituals: internal communications on tech and AI topics, internal events, and meet-ups
