Lead Agile team backlog creation, author user/defect/enabler stories, prioritize work by value and dependencies, write acceptance criteria/tests, support delivery quality, coordinate with product management, architects, and delivery managers, co-lead demos and retrospectives, and drive continuous improvement across teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- To create, elaborate, refine, and prioritize Agile team backlogs
- Primary responsibility to author user, defect, and enabler stories within the team backlogs
- Drive efficient increment and iteration planning through clearly communicating product needs
- Write acceptance criteria and acceptance tests aligned with product value and team Definition of Done (DoD)
- Help support the overall delivery quality of the team by ensuring there is fit for function
- Effectively prioritize story delivery based on value creation, time to implement and relevant dependencies
- Collaborate with Product Management to determine overall objectives for functional increments of team and program value delivery and report product progress
- Collaborate with product and solution architecture to ensure effective dependency management
- Engage with architects and delivery managers to properly sequence release schedules
- Co-Lead team iteration demonstrations to stakeholders and sponsors of the Agile team
- Participate in increment and iteration retrospectives to help drive continuous improvement
- Engage with other Product Owners throughout the overall delivery program to identify common blockers, improve quality and reduce time to market
Qualification:
- 2-5+ years leading software product development in healthcare or 5+ years leading technology delivery within a business department.
- Previous experience in functional roles below is valuable and transferrable:
- Product Management, Clinical Operations, Technical Project Management, Software Engineering
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies. Rate: $94,700 - $157,800 for Waltham, MA
