About The Job

Our Capital and Performance Modelling team owns the internal model that is used to set our capital and drive business decisions. The reserving team is responsible for setting reserves for a wide range of business and communicating and reporting the outputs of this exercise to management.

Analysts within the team are key to setting up and interpreting modelling output or reserving results and communicating the insights from this within the team. This role will have a mix of modelling/analysis work and the opportunity to continue to study for the actuarial exams (if applicable).

Insight

  • Direct analysis to meet business questions and priorities
  • Investigate new effects or issues in analysis and propose plans to address these, including anticipating how these effects may change over time
  • Proactively consider and communicate the assumptions and limitations that should be visible to decision makers
  • Challenges how a task is approached with new ideas

Analysis

  • Direct analysis to optimise output within specific work areas
  • Create process to ensure work is completed in a systematic and orderly way to a high standard of accuracy
  • Supporting the development and delivery of strategy including exploring priorities and options

Communication

  • Providing communications on technical areas that is targeted and appropriate to the audience
  • Providing objective challenge to other work areas
  • Actively contributing to the actuarial team culture of high performance and inclusivity
