Job Description

Role Overview

As a Senior Accountant within our global Finance team you will play a critical role overseeing the accounting for your respective entities. Compliance, accounting accuracy and continuous improvements will be your focus areas.
To succeed in this role you need to be a highly motivated person used to working in a fast-paced global environment. You will report directly to our Director of Accounting in the UK.
What You Will Do

  • Timely and accurate month-end closing for the entities within your responsibility, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Monthly payroll accounting and working closely with our payroll team to support on accounting matters.
  • Close collaboration with AR, AP, treasury and tax to ensure accounting accuracy ahead of the month end close.
  • Ensure accurate Tax and VAT reporting together with our Tax Team.
  • Own and coordinate the audit and annual statutory filings for your entities, working with external consultants where applicable.
  • Conduct monthly intercompany reconciliations, enforcing controls and best practices per group rules and intercompany policy.
  • Perform full balance sheet controls and reconciliations, ensuring ownership and communication across teams who all have input.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferable
  • Proven finance professional with management and statutory accounting experience who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident and effective communicator, capable of building relationships and presenting financial information clearly and concisely
  • Proficiency in finance systems - Netsuite a clear advantage - and Excel, with the ability to interpret and present financial data
  • Ability to speak and read German would be an advantage
