Position Summary

Light & Wonder is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Technical Reporting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone making their first move from practice into industry, offering broad exposure, real ownership, and the chance to work as part of a high-performing team of subject matter experts.

As an Accountant within Technical Reporting, you will take ownership of legal entity reporting across multiple global jurisdictions, playing a key role in delivering statutory accounts and managing audits end-to-end. Working closely with teams across the business, you’ll provide technical accounting insight, translating complex issues into clear, practical guidance.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of statutory accounts and audit projects across multiple global entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery

  • Identify potential issues early and take proactive steps to resolve them throughout the reporting cycle

  • Review legal entity management accounts throughout the year to drive timely corrective action

  • Build and manage strong relationships with external auditors, acting as a key point of contact throughout audit processes

  • Prepare technical accounting papers and high-quality audit schedules, including support for revenue recognition reviews

  • Collaborate with internal teams including GL, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit to support audit and reporting requirements

  • Monitor legal entity compliance in partnership with the CoSec function

  • Plan and lead project meetings to ensure efficient delivery of key milestones

  • Contribute to and deliver finance improvement and transformation projects

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and SOX requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW etc.)
