What will you be doing?

The UK Senior Accountant is responsible for the accuracy of the UK financial results, and monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant financial results in compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory & regulations requirements. The role will also support smaller EMEA entities that are administered from the UK (UAE, Ireland & Switzerland) with the support of third-party accounting firms. The individual will play a key role in the Circana’ s system utilisation to support compliance with US & local GAAP, execute the company’s internal controls, and adhere to standard operating procedures.

This role reports to the UK Controller.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight of day-to-day UK accounting operations, including, monthly close process, accruals, account reconciliations.
  • Support the UK controller in the production of timely and accurate monthly financial results in compliance with all U.S. GAAP and local statutory & regulations requirements.
  • Ownership of reporting and balance sheet control activities for Ireland entity, liaising with outsourcing accountants TMF to record monthly upload file into Netsuite.
  • Support the Interim and final audit process through to statutory and tax reporting
  • Conduct financial statement flux analysis at the entity level for subsidiary companies, including drafting trend analysis and variance analysis reports.
  • Own Circana UK data fees (fixed and variable), including P&L, balance sheet & cash payments.
  • Cashflow Management - oversee and optimise the organisation’s cash flow, ensuring timely forecasting, monitoring, and proactive management to support operational needs and strategic decision‑making.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for Finance and Facilities
  • Participate & lead ad-hoc local, regional & global controllership transformation projects.
  • Drive a strong control environment and assist with the implementation of key SOX controls to drive the completeness and accuracy of UK financial results.
  • Document all local statutory & non-global procedures in line with Circana Group standards.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, including personal development, mentoring, and establishing clear performance goals.

Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university; certified/chartered accountant designation required
  • Proven progressive finance experience, preferably from a U.S. multinational public company or someone with top 4 experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively cross region
  • Desire to collaborate & knowledge sharing skills with stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to understand & problem solve in a matrix
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high growth, and rapidly changing environment
  • High intellect, deep analytical skills, strong business acumen, and mental agility
  • Experience with NetSuite, BlackLine, Dynamics and Coupa is a plus

This position can be located in the following area(s): UK (Office and Hybrid split) 1 or 2 days a week
