Your mission as a Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
What you’ll be doing
- Maintaining Appinio GmbH financial ledgers, constantly finding new and more efficient processes to prepare them earlier and with less manual work
- Preparing and own the consolidated financial statements (in Lucanet)
- Performing month-end and year-end close processes together with external tax advisors
- Owning the GmbH audit process, currently in close collaboration with PwC
- Ensuring accounts payable and receivable are reconciled (supported by NetSuite and Payhawk)
- Constantly challenging the way ledgers are being prepared and what processes really adding value, with the overarching objective being a truly digital, scalable accounting function
- Working together with external advisors to ensure we are compliant on topics such as transfer pricing
You will thrive in this role if
- You have minimum 5 years of work experience as a Financial Accountant or a similar role - ideally in a start-up or other fast-paced environment
- You have minimum 2 years of experience with Netsuite, big plus if you were involved in the rollout of Netsuite before
- You constantly challenge the status quo and are not comfortable repeating the same tasks again and again if there is a better solution
- You completed an accounting apprenticeship, ideally with German additional qualification as "Finanzbuchhalter"
- You are very comfortable with German tax and accounting standards, knowledge in IFRS is a plus
- You have proven experience in Datev and MS Excel
- You have an in-depth understanding of business accounting procedures
- You have a positive and helpful attitude, as well as a pragmatic approach
- You have German skills at C2 level as well as fluency in English
