Based in London, the Senior Accountant International (Fixed Term) will support accounting and finance functions for the EMEA teams for Magnite, a publicly traded US Company (NASDAQ: MGNI). The position will report directly to the Director, Accounting. The primary responsibilities will include liaising with outside firms to manage the statutory accounts and assist with related monthly, quarterly and yearly filings and audits for up to 10 entities.
In addition, this position will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks, account analysis, and month-end closing activities, to produce accurate financial statements while adhering to appropriate internal controls and meeting deadlines. They will be part of a worldwide finance organization with team members in the United States and Australia
In this role you will:

  • Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual filings of VAT, GST, and other returns for
  • Take the primary lead in liaising with outside firms during the statutory filing cycle, assisting with yearly audits and filings
  • Responsible for managing statutory accounts for up to 10 entities, reconciling statutory ledgers every month
  • Assist with any external and internal audit requests
  • Assist outside firms with corporate income tax filings for multiple entities
  • Understand underlying business and related processes as the foundation for responsibilities
  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, i.e. preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare payroll, accrual, and intercompany journals for multiple entities
  • Work with the international and corporate teams to develop reporting packages to satisfy and support statutory reporting and audits
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual fluctuation analysis
  • Prepare and review reconciliations as a part of the close process for delegated accounts
  • Review AP reports and general ledger detail for coding discrepancies and perform re-classes as needed
  • Perform ad hoc reviews and analysis, as needed
  • Maintain adequate internal controls within the accounting processes to ensure well documented, accurate, and timely financial reporting


We're looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 5 years of GL accounting experience
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
  • Highly detailed and deadline-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, focus and thrive in a high paced multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to use professional concepts and apply standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations
  • Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with a large ERP system, Oracle Financials preferred
  • Experience in the advertising and/or technology industry a plus
  • Ideal candidate will possess professional attitude, initiative, genuine enthusiasm and be an overall team player
