Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

Lead the AI Data Cloud Evolution

The Senior Solution Account Engineer is a high-impact, strategic role designed to architect and accelerate the customer journey on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. In this senior capacity, you will bridge the gap for enterprise-level customers—ensuring rapid implementation and world-class architecture—while serving as a technical anchor and mentor for the broader Solution Engineering team.

You will be responsible for elevating the collective technical bar, refining internal methodologies, and providing the informal leadership necessary to ensure the team consistently delivers high-value outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Excellence

  • Drive Regional Success: Take ownership of the technical health and consumption trajectory of high-priority accounts, acting as the lead strategist for complex, multi-stakeholder deployments.

  • Technical Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance on solution design, account strategy, and overcoming technical roadblocks.

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary "Trusted Advisor" for executive stakeholders, aligning Snowflake’s capabilities with high-level business transformation goals.

  • Operational Oversight: Periodically review portfolio health and workflows to identify patterns, ensuring consistent delivery and proactively mitigating risks.

Advanced Technical Execution & Innovation

  • Architectural Stewardship: Define "gold standards" for customers, including complex RBAC/Security frameworks, performance optimization at scale, and cost-governance.

  • AI-Driven Efficiency: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge AI development tools and coding agents (e.g., Gemini, Cursor AI, Claude Code, Glean), demonstrating how to leverage automation and prompt engineering for rapid delivery.

  • Programmatic Innovation: Design scalable programs, such as advanced workshops and technical playbooks, for use by the entire organization.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Liaise with Product and Engineering teams to synthesize field insights into high-level product requirements and roadmap influence.

  • Resource Orchestration: Coordinate internal resources across Professional Services, Support, and Partner ecosystems to resolve high-stakes challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Expertise

  • Senior Technical Proficiency: Deep mastery of SQL and substantial experience in data modeling and performance tuning.

  • Enterprise Architecture: Proven experience designing data architectures on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at scale.

  • Agentic AI Development: Solid hands-on experience in agent development and a high level of proficiency in prompt engineering.

  • Informal Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring peers, leading internal projects, or acting as a "subject matter expert."

  • Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for C-suite executives while remaining "deep in the weeds" with developers.

  • Education: University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent senior-level practical experience.

What Sets You Apart (Preferred)

  • Advanced AI/ML: Practical experience integrating AI-powered development tools into workflows or supporting production Data Science use cases.

  • SnowPro Advanced Certifications: Specifically Architect, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist.

  • Polyglot Programming: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for building data pipelines or applications.

  • DevOps/DataOps Mastery: Experience with CI/CD, data orchestration (Airflow, dbt), and automated testing.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
