What you’ll be doing
Thredd is seeking an exceptional Senior Account Manager to join our team in London and take ownership of our most valuable client relationships.
You'll act as the trusted advisor and primary advocate for a portfolio of strategic clients, leveraging your expertise to influence cross-functional teams, drive significant revenue growth, and secure long-term partnerships. Your ability to stay ahead of industry trends, spearhead process improvements, and foster strong, consultative relationships will be key to positioning Thredd as a strategic partner delivering exceptional value and sustainable client success.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture trusted relationships with mid-level to senior stakeholders, acting as the primary internal advocate for clients while managing expectations and aligning Thredd's goals with client needs.
- Serve as the central point of contact for addressing clients' commercial requirements and conduct Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) to present performance metrics and analyse trends.
- Stay informed about the dynamic payments sector and maintain product knowledge to share valuable insights with the Account Management team.
- Understand, execute, and enhance existing team processes, including pipeline management, deal qualification, reporting, and accurate client record maintenance on Salesforce.
- Drive revenue and margin growth by meeting individual sales quotas through identifying and capitalizing on cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Lead contract renewals and negotiations, aiming to maintain long-term client partnerships and maximize Net Dollar Retention.
- Collaborate with the Implementations team to up-sell during the implementation phase and ensure a smooth transition to the Account Management team upon client go-live.
- Represent Thredd at industry events and facilitate regular strategic meetings to develop comprehensive Account Development Plans.
- Collaborate with the Customer Care team to manage the client's operational relationship, driving resolutions to issues and maintaining oversight through Jira dashboards.
- Promote client participation in case studies, PR activities, and industry events, providing valuable support to the Marketing team.
- Support the Credit Controller in ensuring all clients are current and resolve any billing issues swiftly while managing personal goals to ensure delivery.
What you bring
- Prior experience in account management handling key accounts and enterprise clients
- A solid understanding of payment processing, and knowledge of the tech and payments landscape
- Excellent verbal and written abilities to articulate ideas clearly to various stakeholders through presentations, meetings, and documentation
- Ability to develop long-term strategies aligned with client and company goals, identify revenue-generating opportunities, and maintain a customer-centric mindset
- Skilled in establishing and nurturing trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in analysing sales data, metrics, and trends to make informed decisions and present performance insights
- Adept at managing challenging situations, resolving conflicts diplomatically, and adjusting quickly to new requirements
- Efficient in managing multiple accounts, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines while handling various responsibilities
- Ability to influence stakeholders and reach mutually beneficial agreements in contract discussions and client interactions
- Competent with CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant account management tools
- Demonstrate initiative, think critically, and work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work, including client records and reporting
- Maintain composure under pressure, demonstrate empathy, and handle stress professionally in client interactions
