The Role


Edelman's Tech team is now looking for an Account Director with a proven ability to lead multi-market teams, drive strategic thinking, and deliver high-impact campaigns. Your ability to translate complex technology into meaningful narratives for business and society, paired with your strategic mindset, excellent writing skills, and financial acumen, is exactly what we need.


We are looking for a leader in B2B and B2C technology communications, with strong media relations and social media expertise, complemented by a valuable network of media contacts in the UK and ideally EMEA. We want to hear how your strategic counsel and campaign leadership have driven impressive results across media, digital, and integrated platforms.


Our clients and projects are exciting and fast-paced. You must be a quick thinker and strong multi-tasker, ready to provide high-level strategic counsel, oversee multi-market initiatives, and ensure excellence in execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership – Serve as a strategic advisor and senior point of contact for key clients, driving relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Thinking – Develop and execute integrated communications strategies, aligning PR, digital, and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Team Management – Lead, inspire, and mentor teams, ensuring professional growth and high performance.
  • Campaign Development – Oversee the creation and execution of innovative, results-driven campaigns.
  • Media & Digital Expertise – Provide strategic media counsel at both a UK and EMEA level, leveraging strong media relationships and digital expertise.
  • Business Growth – Lead new business efforts, including pitching, proposal development, and organic account growth.
  • Budget & Financial Management – Manage multi-market budgets effectively, ensuring profitability and efficiency.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven track record of working with global technology brands and managing agencies/teams across multiple markets.
  • Extensive experience in B2B and B2C tech communications, with a deep understanding of industry trends.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and unite teams behind a central concept, seeing it through to execution.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic communications programs that simplify complex technology.
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities with a natural curiosity about the arts, culture, and societal trends.
  • Strong network of media and influencer relationships, with evidence of securing impactful coverage.
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing large-scale budgets and delivering commercial success.
