Position Summary

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with clients, understanding their business drivers, and partnering with our Sales team to actively seek new sales opportunities. Account Managers also ensure the success of the client relationship by managing client governance, contract negotiations and renewals, and escalation/issue resolution. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams within Client & Partner Development to ensure the best possible customer experience.
Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements that shape mutually beneficial change
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the Sales team to develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Prepare account plans and “Client Happiness” reports
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed 

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in Account Management or Customer Success and would preferably have prior experience working with hedge funds, private equity funds and/or institutional asset managers. At minimum, candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of these businesses.
  • Must be comfortable independently problem solving and driving results in ambiguous situations where the answer may not always be clear.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
