More about the role: 
The Sports & Entertainment team at Burson is a new global practice dedicated to unlocking the power of fandom for brands. We operate with global expertise combined with local knowledge and best in class activation. This role will sit in our London centre of excellence, a team of fifty combined Sports and Entertainment specialists.
It is home to some of the world’s best loved sports and entertainment brands including adidas, Activision Blizzard, Gillette and Spotify.We’re building a vibrant and diverse team, that delivers incredible work for amazing brands at the forefront of the entertainment space.

What you’ll do: 
As a Senior Account Manager with a focus on influencers, you will be a proactive worker able to identify, engage and evaluate influencer partnerships with expertise and attention to detail. You will be able to take client objectives and audience information and use Burson’s advanced data tools to identify exciting and effective influencer solutions. You will then be able to run the relationship end to end including co-creating on brand content ideas and contracting and negotiations. Finally, you will be able to produce accurate and insightful evaluation reports that bring useful learnings and recommendations for future client work.

This role is vital to many of our biggest clients but particularly to Activision Blizzard and Gillette.

ACTIVISION BLIZZARD
The world’s largest video games publisher, Activision Blizzard brings epic entertainment to millions of people around the world through legendary franchises like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo and Overwatch. As Senior Account Manager, Influencer, on the account you will be responsible for UK and EMEA influencer activations across all franchises, operating as the key client contact ensuring we deliver best in class creative and execute flawless campaigns. You might be at a major streamer event one week, staffing interviews with game designers the next, then working on cultural insights for a major game launch.

GILLETTE
The world’s #1 Grooming brand, our role as Gillette's agency (for over two decades now) is to build brand affinity and support commercial activity across a range of campaigns. Gillette has a longstanding history in sports marketing, which Burson supports on through developing and executing both brand-building and product-focused initiatives, leveraging Gillette's partnerships with the UEFA Champions League, Ian Wright and Football Beyond Borders, which serve to amplify Gillette's commitment to positive versions of masculinity.

To get more into your responsibilities, as a Senior Account Manager (Influencer), you will take on a consultative role for key clients, lead the implementation of communication strategies and manage daily activities under the guidance of the senior team. You will demonstrate strong management skills and foster excellent client and team relationships and set a positive example for junior colleagues.

CLIENT

  • Become an integral part of the account, contributing to the development and implementation of multiple client projects, adding value and ensuring timely and high-quality work.
  • Create compelling, creative influencer content ideas that resonate with clients, driven by a passion for storytelling.
  • Strong and convincing presentation skills including the ability to clearly communicate complex data to clients.
  • Go beyond basic reporting to provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

 COMMERCIAL

  • Manage client budgets, influencer payments and tracking of costs and deliverables against agreed metrics.
  • Be aware of Burson’s influencer offers and services and Global network and be able to articulate these to existing and / or prospective clients.

PEOPLE & BEHAVIOURS

  • Demonstrate leadership and great teamwork by motivating other team members, supporting junior staff, and providing constructive feedback, helping upskill the whole team on working with influencers.
  • Promote a positive team culture by sharing best practices and celebrating successes.
  • Actively participate in DE&I initiatives, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Participate in relevant L&D opportunities, applying acquired knowledge daily and championing learning by example for junior team members.

Experience that contributes to success: 

  • Understanding of the influencer landscape and key channels, especially as it relates to the gaming industry.
  • Experience in influencer marketing and a track record of executing successful campaigns for major brands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate both complex data and creative ideas.
  • Great attention to detail and time management when it comes to project management, reporting, contracting and more.
  • A love and enthusiasm for the gaming industry.

Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socialising with the wider agency and other WPP OpCo’s.
