We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Account Executive to join a dynamic team, working with a major sponsor in sports over this summer as live events begin to return. The role is initially a fixed term contract role are ideal for someone with a passion for sports events with minimum 2 years of events and/or hospitality-based experience.

This role will assist the account team responsible for activating a client’s European sponsorship portfolio and we’re looking for candidates who are highly detail orientated, possess solid account management skills and have a passion for Marketing and Sponsorship.

The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team, working on The Open, taking place in Northern Ireland this July. Responsibilities will include supporting the management of the hospitality and ticketing assets including onsite hosting, contributing to the day-to-day administration of the account in the UK, including budget management and weekly status reports. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting account team in the day-to-day planning and management of a global event  
  • Account administration including ownership of status documents, monthly reporting and collateral
  • Research and management of suppliers, from branding to accommodation and transport
  • Oversee all operational logistics related to merchandising and golf rental equipment, including research, purchasing, and onsite management.
  • Responsible for planning and managing guest golf outings, as well as supervising onsite golf operations staff.
  • Event and asset management, tracking and delivery including management and allocation of tickets through mobile ticketing system.
  • Assist in producing operational reports as required
  • Taking a lead on managing guest information updates and communicate to relevant managers on-site (Transportation, Hotel, F&B, Tickets, etc.)
  • On-site event delivery including guest liaison, supplier management and team support
  • Turning your hand to support the team deliver a major event, doing it with a smile and learning on the way

  • You are patient, level headed and cool under pressure
  • You have a sense of humour
  • You have strong skills in Power Point Skills, Excel and Outlook and a confidence to present internally and externally
  • You have valid UK/ EU driving license
  • You are happy to work weekends and the long hours during event time

It’s not essential but will really help if:

  • You are fluent in any other languages
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Agency experience working in a similar role, ideally with experience in the hospitality and or travel arena
  • You have experience managing inventory for sports equipment.
  • You have an interest in events
  • You are available immediately 

Preliminary onsite dates are:

  • 25 May – 2 June 2025
  • 10-28 July 2025
  • Other dates TBC
