Are you a tenacious communicator with a passion for managing the full sales cycle and building meaningful relationships with electronics companies from around the world? If so, then the (Senior) Account Executive position at Smith is the perfect opportunity for you to elevate your career and become a driving force in our ever-evolving industry.

In 19 cities around the world, our legion of employees communicates in 50 different languages and dialects and buys and sells components 24 hours per day, with global sales of more than $12 billion over the last five years. We’re always moving; helping manufacturers navigate market shifts, customizing supply chain solutions, testing components using cutting-edge technology, and more.
We are looking for a new team member with a proven sales track record in the semiconductor industry (independent distribution) to join our team remote in Germany. You will use your knowledge and experience of the industry to expand Smith’s customer portfolio, generating high-revenue projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets;

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers;

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base in EMEA with your existing customer relationship;

  • Value-Added Services: Effectively communicate the benefits of Smith's value-added services, such as cost savings, excess inventory management, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI);

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs;

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies;

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior account representatives.

Key Requirements

  • Must have at least 6+ years of relevant experience within the semiconductor industry (independent distribution);

  • Fluent in English; fluency in another European language an advantage;

  • Drive in a fast-paced working environment and work well independently with little managerial involvement;

  • Service and results oriented;

  • Commitment to customer satisfaction;

  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality and manage proprietary data;
