Role Summary and Impact
We are seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented Biddable Finance Senior Account Executive to join our Channels & Solutions team. This new role plays a critical part in maintaining financial governance across paid search, paid social, and programmatic activity for a financially demanding client. The successful candidate will coordinate with internal biddable teams, onshore and offshore, with the finance team, and our finance system supplier (MediaOcean), ensuring precise reconciliation, compliance with deadlines, and robust error management. By mastering finance operations and driving accountability, you’ll help shape a new model that could set the standard for future client management. The role also offers exposure to core activation tasks across biddable platforms during periods of peak activity or if additional capacity is needed.
Skills and Experience
Reporting to the Channel Management Lead, you will support the biddable channel teams and finance by ensuring processes are followed, queries are resolved, and governance is maintained in client finance operations. Success will require initiative, rigour, and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams both in the UK and offshore.
Essential Criteria
- Experience (or strong aptitude to learn quickly) in biddable media, finance, or media operations.
- Excellent attention to detail, maintaining accuracy under pressure and scrutiny.
- Strong organisation, tracking multiple deadlines and actions across teams.
- Effective written and verbal communicator, able to chase actions and clarify queries.
- Confident navigating finance systems (e.g. Mediaocean) or willingness to learn.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach; not afraid to question, challenge, or follow up.
- Comfortable with remote collaboration and time zone coordination.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of biddable platforms (paid search, paid social, programmatic) and ability to run reports independently, or willingness to learn.
- Exposure to media finance processes (invoice management, billing, reconciliations).
- Practical experience supporting channel teams with basic activation tasks in biddable platforms during peak periods or when capacity allows.
- Experience dealing with high-governance environments.
- Familiarity with offshore teams and finance systems.
- Practical problem solving across departments and with external partners.
Responsibilities
Delivering Financial Governance
- Coordinate finance processes and deadlines across all biddable channels.
- Keep trackers updated, share deadlines, and proactively chase outstanding actions.
- Master the reconciliation process; resolve issues behind unbooked campaigns, unpaid invoices, and incorrect client billing.
- Make sure biddable teams onshore and offshore adhere to the booking and reconciliation processes, by selecting the correct booking category and naming convention.
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers (e.g. Mediaocean) to troubleshoot and escalate queries.
- Communicate clearly with finance and offshore team; adapt to virtual and multi-timezone working.
Supporting Channel Operations
- Run independent reports from biddable platforms to verify campaign delivery, finance records, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Provide hands-on support for channel teams in activation, setup, or optimisation during peak periods and if additional capacity is required.
Raising Our Process Standard
- Identify and document best practices as this new role develops.
- Support senior stakeholders in maintaining accurate account management and finance compliance.
- Escalate persistent issues, recommend improvements, and share learnings.
Inspiring Our People
- Offer guidance and process expertise to channel teams resolving finance queries.
- Contribute to team meetings and knowledge sharing about effective finance governance.
- Help embed a culture of rigour, accuracy, and collaboration.
Driving Continuous Improvement
- Suggest process enhancements based on day-to-day observations.
- Pilot new approaches for more efficient finance management and share insights, including the deployment of new technologies.
- Support the agency mission to set the benchmark for finance governance, enabling export of this model to other clients.
Development Opportunity
- This is a unique position with the potential to become the blueprint for financial support roles across the agency. You will have direct access to senior leaders and be at the heart of evolving agency-wide practices. Your success could enable the creation of new roles and career pathways in media finance operations.
