Our remit is incredibly varied and is focussed on the Digital & Games output across the marketing team at East Finchley. We are an extension of their Marketing Team and work in an integrated fashion with our partner agencies to lead all Digital & Games activities (e.g. McDonald's Monopoly, Winning Sips and Digital Sales promos on their My McDonald's App) including digital, partnerships and sales promotions. As the lead agency for Digital app sales promos, we take great pride in delivering engaging and impactful campaigns time after time.
As a Senior Account Director for the Digital & Games UK & ROI team you will be integral to delivering best in class campaigns. You will be responsible for driving forward key events in the UK & ROI calendar, from strategic development (be able to lead and construct a good sell in deck with the strategist where relevant) and understanding business challenges, to translating them into opportunities, looking at how digital and games plays a role in achieving Goals and connecting the McDonald's brand with relevant audiences.
Leading the team to deliver day to day is a key part of the role and you will be comfortable doing this in a key position from the front with the support of the Business Director.
This will involve mentoring and developing a team with the support of 2 x AD's helping them to grow and progress, whilst delivering projects together and planning ahead to set everyone up for success with support from the Campaign Director.
By understanding the client business, you will also be expected to develop with your senior team proactive solutions to share with the client, creating new business opportunities and creative opportunities for TMS.
This role is responsible for leading Digital and Games Promotions that range from on pack into digital (in-app) and some tactical promotions such as Merch on My McDonald's Rewards Tiers to prize draws etc that all work to build the activity we have planned on the annual calendar.
This includes management of: stakeholder sell in, mechanic development, partner and prize pool management, legal processes (from facilitating approvals on creative work, to helping develop the promotional Terms & Conditions), developing all the promotional elements and supporting the all agency group as lead agency, as well as delivering the app game play and winners comms specifically within the UK market.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE AGENCY
General Competencies
- Responsible for leading the team and relevant projects, coordinating the team and wider collaborators from brief stage to concept development through to launch.
- Collaborating with the strategist to direct the vision of campaigns from the outset and ensuring that lives on throughout the development phases.
- Ability to take a step back and have a comprehensive view of the team and the work going through to ensure the delivery / output is the best it can be for the business and the client
- Understand the client's business to deliver best in class work on every single project for both the client and agency, inspiring your team to do the same on every brief.
- Support the client services leadership team (SVP, BD) to ensure collaboration across the broader agency team and support growth of the client and TMS business
- Supporting the BD in management coaching and development of your team with a key focus within the day to day working relationships
Client Partnership
- Develop strong relationships with relevant levels of the marketing team, be seen as trusted partner, demonstrating expertise in your respective area, a solution orientated nature and renowned for delivering best in class work.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the brand and IEO sector in order to apply insight and understanding to positively impact McD's business
- Work with other agency partners, showcasing expertise in your respective area both on strategic and creative level. Lead the team in this area demonstrating a collaborative and mature approach to ensure the best output for the client
- Lead by example, demonstrate to your team the benefit of building strong client relationships and ensure they build on this daily with their respective contacts
Strategic Direction
- Working with the BD, Planners, other partner agencies and our McDonald's marketing clients to drive the development of central initiatives within the marketing calendar
- Work with BD & Strategy on briefs to inspire the creative team and deliver best in class work
Strong Account Management
- Provide creative and strategic marketing input into each client response
- Compliment strategy by confidently writing presentations that sell in our work to the client
- Lead the team on all projects, motivating and providing support when needed. Work collaboratively with the day to day leads throughout and support in delivery stages when required

- Understand campaign results using these to shape future project recommendations
- Support SVP/BD in delivering the yearly account and growth plans, owning accountability for the day to day plans being achieved
Project Financials
- Understand the profitability of the account through effective financial planning and management, working closely with the team throughout each project
- Responsible for leading team monthly forecast updates, tracking and billing, ensuring these are accurate and timely, clearly communicating any changes to BD + Finance
- Support the SVP & BD on delivering against the account plan and yearly growth targets, identifying additional revenue opportunities where relevant outside of the retainer
People Management
- Be an inspirational leader, that motivates and supports the team
- Managing, enthusing and developing your direct reports and those who work with you on projects
- Clearly delegate appropriate responsibilities working with the programme manager and SAM's to resource projects for the year
- Manage upwards as effectively as managing downwards
- Manage the performance and development of your direct reports in line with the agency's process.
- Successfully conduct line report appraisals, goal setting and support your team's ongoing development through inspiration, education and coaching.
- Collaborate across the broader client team to maximise benefit for the client and agency
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You'll currently be an experienced Senior Account Director in an integrated / digital / promotional agency environment with a passion for FMCG and retail sectors. You'll have a desire to achieve growth and will be working currently as part of a senior team. Be calm under pressure and have excellent upwards and downwards management skills along with communication and organisational skills day to day internally and externally with all collaborators.

- Can confidently write presentations that sell in our work to the client complimenting the strategy where relevant

- Marketing qualifications (e.g. ISP, IDM, CIM, IPM) desirable
