What you'll do

As a Securitisation, Lending, & Modelling Associate, you’ll assist senior team members on new securitisation lending transactions for NWB while working collaboratively with specialist product partners across NatWest Group, and middle office functions, and second line teams. You’ll help deliver the product to the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and Corporate clients across multiple financial asset classes. Furthermore, you’ll provide support to portfolio management with in-life transaction activity, especially in reviewing data, reporting, and modelling received from customers and product partners. You’ll also ensure that rigorous governance and approval processes are maintained for both new and existing transactions before and after transaction closing.

In this role, you’ll support the lending assessment of securitisation transactions for NWB by assisting in the review of transaction documentation and relevant materials, including credit information and securitisation cashflow models. You’ll help support the risk assessment of relevant transactions while interacting with internal product colleagues such as NatWest Markets structuring teams and with other internal and external stakeholders to complete execution for NWB. You’ll also ensure that transaction governance and approval processes are followed in NWB by working closely with senior team members and liaising with key internal stakeholders to help facilitate timely transaction approval, execution, and booking.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Assisting transaction analysis and decision making by providing qualitative and quantitative insights and scenario review
  • Supporting portfolio management with in-life transaction activity relating to any amendments, waivers, and any data review, reporting, or modelling requirements
  • Assisting senior team members in the delivery of the control, reporting, compliance, and regulatory regime within the business
  • Upholding rigorous governance standards and ensuring compliance with internal transaction policies
  • Actively supporting the development and growth of the business, delivering for customers, and enhancing our franchise
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of working within a deal team to support the analysis and execution of complex transactions, along with a good level of experience in structured finance and securitization-type transactions. To succeed in this role, you’ll also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of risk analysis, including modelling of structured finance transactions, payment structures, and asset cashflow principles.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ideally familiarity with other modelling tools such as Intex and Python for analytics
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes such as consumer loans, mortgages, auto loans, and SME loans
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex transaction mechanics to stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and good ability to manage and prioritise workload
