Join us as a Search Engine Optimisation Lead

  • It's your chance to lead our Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) team, to deliver a future-facing Organic Search strategy throughout the retail bank
  • You’ll develop and define an SEO strategy that accelerates traffic and application growth, and improves our search presence through 2025 and beyond
  • You’ll shape our ways of working, our interactions with the wider Retail Bank, and how SEO is perceived and actioned throughout the business to drive accountability for performance from site owners
  • You’ll develop our understanding of AI Oversights and their effect on search engines, adapting our strategy as needed

What you'll do

As a Search Engine Optimisation Lead, you’ll lead and continuously upskill a team of SEO experts to enable them to meet their role as a Centre of Excellence, and support them in building relationships with product, page, and journey owners. You’ll also own and review the suite of SEO tools we use and be responsible for reporting on SEO up through the business.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Managing and communicating SEO opportunities, backlog, successes, and learnings to the wider business
  • Liaising with technical and data & analytics teams to ensure SEO is being considered at a platform-level
  • Working with marketing teams to build a single view of paid and organic search for our retail bank
  • Monitoring competitor activity and identifying responses to changes in the market
  • Making sure that relevant compliance, conduct, control and risk policies are followed by the team

The skills you'll need

It’s important that you hold the ability to define and implement strategic direction for the future customer. In addition to this, you’ll understand and communicate how SEO interacts with other digital channels, considering the needs of the wider business in all your team’s work.

You’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, analytics, personalisation and experience management
  • The ability to demonstrate creative thinking
  • Experience of using Adobe and developing innovative and impactful customer experiences
  • The ability to drive and deliver innovative ideas through Agile ways of working, harnessing digital and technological advances that truly benefit our customers
