More about this role: 

As the Sales Development Manager, you will lead and oversee a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDR’s). At Darktrace, the SDR team comes under the umbrella of the Darktrace SDR Academy in which we aim to help each SDR develop to their full potential and to have fulfilling careers within the department and the wider organization. Your primary responsibility is to drive the team to meet and exceed their targets, ensuring a robust pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team.

This is a hybrid role working 2 days a week from our central  London office.

Focus of this fast paced role is summarized under the below categories: 

  • Team Leadership: Under the framework of the Darktrace SDR Academy, recruit, train, coach, and mentor a team of regional SDR’s to reach their full potential.   
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracks and analyze key performance metrics and provide regular reports using tools like Power BI.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align strategies and improve lead generation processes.
  • Training & Development: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the SDR team.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine and improve the SDR processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting: Ensure alignment with the Regional Sales Directors through meetings and via monthly reports
  • Prospect Engagement:  Ensure the team engages effectively with prospective customers, uncovers their pain points, and articulates the value proposition of Darktrace’s unique offering.
  • Tools Coaching and Optimization: Coach and ensure proper team engagement with our tech stack, including ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce.


What experience do I need:

We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of managing successful SDR teams in a B2B environment. You'll be interested in cyber security and be tech-savvy with the ability to build and optimize high performing sales teams . You'll also have:

  • Strong understanding of outbound sales methodologies and CRM tools,
  • Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills, 
  • A data- driven mindset with experience reporting and performance tracking.
