QUALITY ASSURANCEWhat We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

You are a QA expert and developer who thrives on delivering results at scale. Your vision and hands-on approach will continually maintain a high-quality, “testable software” mentality at Epic Games. We are looking for teammates who are passionate about upstream technical testing and developing tools, automation, and capacity engineering to raise the quality bar while advancing their technical capabilities and knowledge.

In this role, you will
  • Design - Be a vision holder for maintaining a “testable software” mentality at Epic Games. Design or extend automation frameworks and tools as necessary to meet product needs
  • Automate - Identify opportunities for leveraging automation across Epic Games, upstream technical testing of implementations, and create tools and test harnesses
  • Collaborate - Work with software engineers to ensure features are written as testable units, and mentor SDETs and QA analysts
  • Educate - document tools, help drive quality initiatives by ensuring tools and automation funnel to a clear message about product and component quality, mentor other QA staff to write high-quality automation
What we're looking for
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development, test automation, or related fields
  • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code in C++, C#, or Python
  • Solid understanding of functional and non-functional testing methodologies
  • Experience developing and maintaining test frameworks, tools, and automation infrastructure
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across systems and applications
  • Knowledge of unit, integration, system, and regression testing practices
  • Experience working in agile or scrum-based development environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate cross-functionally with developers, QA, and product teams
  • Experience with test case design, risk-based testing, and test strategy planning
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
