We are currently seeking a talented and ambitious SDET Engineer to join our Kotlin QA Automation team. The Kotlin Ecosystem Department provides teams with tools for solid regression and end-to-end testing, reducing the time product teams need to spend on manual checks. As an example, we create and enhance UI testing frameworks for IDEs and manage CI/CD setup for building large user projects with the latest compiler version.
While hands-on automation testing experience is essential, the focus of this role is on building and integrating tools to assist QAs. You should be passionate about software performance, highly motivated, and eager to learn and advance your career. In this role, you will:- Develop an automated testing infrastructure, setting up CI pipelines, selecting and applying existing tools, and designing new ones.
- Review existing automated tests to provide further improvements and support.
- Write new automated tests, which may require the development of test cases for automation.
- Analyze test results, locate bugs, and create bug reports.
- Collaborate with exploratory QA specialists to deliver test scenarios for the regular QA automation cycle.
- Dive into diverse areas of Kotlin, including the IDE plugin, build tools (Maven and Gradle), and a variety of Kotlin platforms.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and hands-on testing experience.
- Experience building automated testing infrastructure and processes.
- Experience writing automated tests in Java, Kotlin, or other OOP languages.
- The ability to understand other people’s test and production code.
- An intermediate command of English.
- Testing IDEs or other complex desktop apps.
- Programming with Kotlin.
- Using IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio.
- Working with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
