About the Scheme Compliance Analyst role

We are seeking a Scheme Compliance Analyst to join our expanding team. The Scheme Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring scheme compliance requirements are assessed, understood and implemented swiftly by working closely with internal teams.

What you will be doing as a Scheme Compliance Analyst

Customer/Client Centricity

  • Building the card network relationships to improve compliance understanding and communication

Data & Reporting

  • Maintaining monitoring and reporting to track Thredd compliance with Scheme mandates
  • Documenting and tracking decisions/rationale for pursuing or not pursuing
  • Scheme requests; Maintaining a log for audit trail and ease of reference as Thredd’s strategy evolves across new regions and new products

Industry Knowledge

  • Attending relevant card scheme industry events, working groups and webinars to ensure product and market knowledge is kept relevant

Quality & Controls

  • Supporting the end to end process for handling, prioritising and maintain scheme compliance
  • Investigating any escalations, complaints, incidents and breach of scheme compliance or any other scheme compliance related requests
  • Monitoring scheme compliance regulatory changes, amendments, trends, or any other development that may impact our operations

Innovation & Design

  • Working with the Head of Scheme Compliance in implementing the Scheme Compliance Framework

Planning & Prioritisation

  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies in the end to end processes
  • Staying on top of the weekly and monthly bulletins that come in

Product Knowledge

  • Developing an understanding of Thredd business operations and payment processes

What you will bring to the Scheme Compliance Analyst position

  • Experience working with Visa and Mastercard and the compliance rules – Discover and AMEX would also be highly desirable
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of managing scheme rules from identification to implementation
  • Experience working in the payments industry
  • Detailed understanding of how card and payment programmes operate and interact with different partners (Issuers, BIN sponsors, Schemes, Card manufacturers)
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce, Slack, Miro and Sharepoint
  • The ability to work independently
  • The ability to take high level requests and break them down into actionable plans
  • Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders such as the schemes, customers and internal teams
