Job Description:

Here at DXC Technology we continue to grow our SAP practice. We are seeking an accomplished SAP Project Manager (Finance / FICO) to lead the Finance delivery workstream within a complex S/4HANA transformation programme. This role blends programme governance with functional understanding, ensuring Finance, Controlling, and related areas are delivered with full assurance, compliance, and integration into the wider programme.

About the Role
As Project Manager for Finance, you will own the planning, governance, and execution of all Finance workstreams, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, and Tax. Acting as the primary client-facing lead, you will manage scope, risks, and dependencies while aligning Finance delivery to programme objectives. You will provide leadership across the lifecycle — from Explore through Hypercare — ensuring Finance is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain governance structures, delivery plans, and stage gates for Finance.

  • Lead Finance workshops for scope definition, requirements capture, and fit-gap analysis.

  • Manage dependencies across Procurement, HR/Payroll, Projects, and Logistics.

  • Oversee WRICEF delivery, ensuring functional alignment and quality assurance.

  • Direct Finance data migration strategy, parallel runs, reconciliations, and cutover readiness.

  • Track and report progress to executives, steering committees, and programme boards.

  • Mentor Finance consultants and coordinate cross-workstream activities.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Strong record of delivering SAP Finance projects in complex, regulated organisations.

  • Broad knowledge of S/4HANA Finance and Controlling processes, including statutory close, payroll postings, and assurance requirements.

  • Skilled in RAID management, programme governance, and executive reporting.

  • Demonstrated awareness of Finance integration with Procurement, HR, Projects, and Supply Chain.

Tools & Methodologies

  • SAP Activate methodology, with experience in agile delivery environments.

  • JIRA, Confluence, and SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM for governance and change control.

  • Tricentis qTest, Tosca, or HP ALM for test management.

Qualifications

  • SAP Activate Project Manager or equivalent certification desirable.

  • PRINCE2, PMP, or AgilePM credentials preferred.

Stakeholder & Soft Skills

  • Strong presence with CFO, Controller, and senior Finance stakeholders.

  • Ability to balance assurance and compliance with delivery pressure.

  • Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to mentor teams and build trust across stakeholders.

  • Resilient under pressure, with clear communication and decision-making capability.
