Job Description:

Here at DXC Technology we continue to grow our SAP practice. We are seeking an accomplished SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) Lead. You will be responsible for defining and delivering the enterprise data architecture strategy across SAP and non‑SAP landscapes. This role guides modernization from legacy BW systems to a unified, cloud‑based data foundation using SAP BDC and Datasphere. You will drive the adoption of data products, harmonize cross‑system datasets, and enable AI- and analytics‑ready data models to support S/4HANA transformation programs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise-wide data strategy and architecture using SAP Business Data Cloud as the central platform for S/4HANA transformations.

  • Lead modernization of legacy SAP BW/BW‑on‑HANA landscapes using the BDC Lift & Shift approach.

  • Harmonize SAP and non‑SAP datasets into unified, governed, and AI-ready data models using Datasphere and HANA Cloud.

  • Convert BW objects into governed data products using the Data Product Generator, ensuring reusability and semantic consistency.

  • Integrate SAP Business Data Cloud with AI/ML platforms, including SAP Joule, Databricks (Delta Sharing), and other cloud data lakes.

  • Establish strong governance, lineage, metadata, and security frameworks aligned with Clean Core principles.

  • Lead end‑to‑end solution delivery across design, modeling, testing, deployment, and hypercare.

  • Partner with analytics teams to deliver advanced dashboarding, insights, and predictive capabilities using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

  • Mentor data architects, data modelers, and engineering teams on SAP Datasphere, BTP, and cloud data integration patterns.

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • Extensive of experience in enterprise data architecture, analytics, or SAP transformation programs.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of cloud data modeling, semantic modeling, replication flows, and governance frameworks.

  • Experience integrating SAP with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or modern data engineering/modeling frameworks.

  • Proven experience defining data strategy for large S/4HANA transformations.

  • Ability to guide clients through modernization from legacy SAP BW environments to cloud-native architectures.

  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder leadership, and ability to serve as a strategic advisor to business and IT executives.

Desired Certifications

  • SAP Datasphere or SAP Business Data Cloud certification (when available).

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) certification.

  • SAP BTP or HANA Cloud certification.

  • Cloud certifications with hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP) – beneficial for modern AI/data platform integrations.
