Here at DXC we continue to grow our SAP practice. We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Senior Consultant to deliver functional design, configuration, and assurance of core Finance processes in large-scale SAP transformation programmes. This role is central to ensuring compliant, efficient, and integrated financial operations across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Financial Close.
Due to the nature of our client accounts Security Clearance is required and for us to obtain this for you, you must be a British National and have resided and worked in the UK continuously for the last 5 years. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.
About the Role
As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on configuration and solution expertise across multiple Finance sub-modules. You will collaborate with Finance stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver best-practice SAP solutions that support statutory compliance, enable process efficiency, and integrate seamlessly with Procurement, Sales, Projects, and HR/Payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct workshops with Finance stakeholders to capture requirements and map them into SAP S/4HANA
Configure SAP Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting
Support design of financial close, reporting, and reconciliations.
Ensure integration of Finance with MM (P2P), SD (OTC), PS (Projects), and HCM (Payroll)
Develop functional specifications for WRICEF objects (reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows)
Support Finance data migration (open items, balances, assets) and reconciliations through mock cycles
Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover rehearsals
Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to Finance users
Contribute to project documentation including process maps, test scripts, and training material
Experience & Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking)
Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax configuration, and statutory compliance
Familiarity with Financial Close processes, reconciliations, and reporting
Integration awareness across Procurement, Sales, Payroll, and Projects
Ability to produce blueprint documentation, functional specs, and testing artefacts
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills

SAP S/4HANA Finance (1909 or later)
SAP Fiori apps for Finance processes
SAP Activate methodology
Change/test management tools (Solution Manager, JIRA, qTest)
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting (advantageous)
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or IT
SAP Certification in S/4HANA Financial Accounting desirable
Professional accounting credentials (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) advantageous
Stakeholder & Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills with Finance stakeholders
Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills
Ability to explain Finance processes in business terms to non-technical users
Collaborative and proactive, comfortable working in a global consulting environment
