To support our continued growth and exciting plans, we’re looking for a Junior Automation Developer to join our Salesforce Team and build scalable, high-quality solutions that enhance business processes, integrate seamlessly with other systems, and enable Bionic to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving operational efficiency and innovation.

The Role 

You will be a member of the Salesforce Squad who maintains and grows our Salesforce platform to enable Marketing, Sales, Commercial, and Customer Service teams to provide a first-class service to our customers. 

You will support the development of technical solutions that deliver business requirements and assist with integrating the Salesforce platform with other enterprise applications. You will be working closely with Software Engineers, Salesforce Administrators, the Salesforce Technical Lead and Software Architects to implement solutions supported by extensive automated tests. 

This role is key to building and maintaining our e2e test automation suite. You will focus on developing automated tests and learning to build Salesforce solutions, while collaborating with the rest of the team to promote test automation best practices. As you grow in the role, you'll help expand automation knowledge across the team and contribute to ensuring high quality software and platform stability. 

The Team 

The Salesforce Team are pivotal to the Bionic organisation and provide business critical services to support teams within Bionic. The team contains Developers, Administrators and Product resources to ensure successful delivery of projects, small improvements and continuous technical essentials to the platform. 

This role is based in our London Office on a hybrid basis (1 day a week in-office). 

About you 

As the Salesforce Engineer your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce applications 
  • Execute automated test suites and analyse results to identify defects 
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand application functionality and testing requirements 
  • Document test cases, test results, and defects clearly and thoroughly 
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our testing practices 
  • Learn Salesforce platform fundamentals and how to effectively test within the Salesforce ecosystem 
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding our test automation framework 
  • Gain exposure to Salesforce development concepts including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs 
  • Transition into Salesforce development work as skills and experience grow 

Required skills and experience 

  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools 
  • Programming experience in an object orientated programming language. 
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) 
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools 
  • Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies 
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and platforms 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 
  • Interest in growing beyond testing into full-stack development 
  • Being passionate about quality and test automation. 

Desirable skills and experience 

  • Experience with Provar (Salesforce-specific test automation tool) 
  • Experience with API testing 
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web technologies 
  • Any prior exposure to Salesforce platform or CRM systems 
  • Interest in pursuing Salesforce certifications

  • 2nd Final stage values & soft skills interview with Tech and Product Lead
