Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Business Analysis serves as a liaison between the organization's businesses and IT systems development teams to align business strategies and capability needs and to ensure IT systems enable their desired value. This job family identifies and analyzes business needs, defines requirements and objectives, and makes recommendations for solutions using new and existing technologies. This job family researches and documents relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) and translates business requirements into application requirements.

Job Summary

The Consultant, Business Analysis partners with business leaders and project teams to identify business needs and deliver Information Technology solutions. The Consultant defines project scopes in order to efficiently deliver on the identified business cases and ensures that solution development, implementation and change management activities achieve desired business goals. Through business process improvements and activation of new capabilities, the Consultant enables business units to achieve their operational and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with the business, understand business priorities and be able to prioritize work across multiple projects and workstreams with the assistance of the Product Owners/business stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough business process analysis to understand and document current business processes, workflows and systems, create and document high-level and detailed requirements for new processes and systems, develop use cases, and manage requirement changes
  • Proactively identify and effectively use multiple approaches to problem solving, analyze potential solutions, and provide logical recommendations
  • Work with customers and partners to define requirements
  • Accurately lead integration initiatives
  • Gather and document business requirements, user stories and facilitating their discussion, confirmation and implementation
  • Lead and/or write functional specifications (Fspecs), functional unit testing (FUT), Technical specifications (Tspecs), technical unit testing (TUT) in conjunction with applicable Business and IT stakeholders
  • Write user stories acceptance criteria in conjunction with development and QA automation teams

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Lucid Charts/products
  • Salesforce.com Sales and Service Cloud working knowledge
  • Working with Managed Packages and External Vendors
  • Experience working in Agile methodology utilizing Jira
  • Experience in working with an offshore development team
  • Self-starter with excellent documentation skills, including the ability to maintain documentation with user stories
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to identify problems, gather facts, analyze potential risks and impacts, and choose or propose a solution
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including thorough understanding of how to solicit and interpret customer business needs, model business functions, and translate them into application and operational requirements and user stories
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to ask probing questions, lead cross-functional meetings and provide clear status reports to both technical and non-technical team members and executives
  • Work independently, prioritizing work and proactively communicating status

Anticipated salary range: $80,900 - $115,500
