Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering commercial orders for the Allye MAX for both mobile power and on-grid applications based on inbound enquiries and outbound lead generation. You will build and manage all customer relationships to identify commercial opportunities, realise sales growth and meet revenue targets   

You will be responsible from initial interest through to technical installation. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, to assess the business case for the customer, gathering usage and tariff data for analysis, as well coordinating activities relating to G99 applications, electrical installation, and commissioning by engaging with installers and DNOs. You require a technical background, understanding of the G99/G100 process and  

You will be highly data driven, detail oriented and comfortable with forecasting sales targets and working in an early-stage business where customer opportunities are to be discovered and the sales playbook still must be written. You will be comfortable developing sales operations processes and refining them as part of your role.

As a strong communicator and relationship builder, you will be comfortable selling hardware-as-a-service and subscription models associated with energy storage. This is multi-faceted role which requires a strong technical knowledge of Allye’s energy systems and strong business knowledge of the market for commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage. This is a UK and Ireland focused role initially but has significant potential to grow into a global sales role for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the company’s sales strategy, forecast sales targets and report progress
  • Lead the sales cycle, from lead to opportunity, contract, G99 and installation
  • Manage the C&I battery energy storage opportunity pipeline and customer
  • Ensure timely communication and customer recording via HubSpot
  • Qualify leads to opportunities and create a strong list of prospects
  • Gather relevant usage and tariff data to develop the customer business case
  • Provide technical and commercial support during sales including G99 application
  • Manage and negotiate all new and renewal contracts with customers
  • Generate and update all customer facing materials, specifications and documents
  • Develop monthly sales order and margin forecasts, with weekly update reports
  • Participate at industry events to showcase the Allye product and generate leads

Qualifications

Must-haves

  • Self starter, highly motivated, has drive and ambition to succeed
  • Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 year’s experience in B2B sales and business development
  • Understanding of power systems and G99/G100 requirements for BESS
  • Strong knowledge of HubSpot and other CRM tools
  • Track record in building sales pipelines and driving prospects to efficient close
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating, managing, and executing contracts
  • Experience with selling “as-a-service” or subscription business models
  • Good knowledge of battery energy storage, Grid-scale and C&I markets
  • Ability to manage a sales P&L, set targets and report progress
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complex technical and product information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Able to travel in UK and international on occasion
